It is important to have a peer group. They don't have to all be exactly your age, but the majority of the time they are the ones who will relate to your problems the best. That said, I have always felt more "at home" with my parents' generation and usually look to them for solace and advice. However, it has, on many occasions, left me feeling rather out of place in school and workplace situations. Not to sound morbid, but when you and I are older, the adults we look to for comfort now will likely be leaving our lives, and then, above all other times, will we need the friends of our own ages. Keep your adult friendships, but do not exclude your peers, because they will be some of the most important friendships you will make.

The best thing is to learn how to get along with those who are the same age as you. One day you all will be adults and you will still have to get along with one another. Questions you must ask yourself are; Do I act more like an adult than a teen ager? Am I a" Know it all " personality? Do I look down on those who are the same age as I ? Do I ridicule the teens? Am I just a little snot? Am I an " i i i " person ?Do I show interest in what other teens are doing?Do I listen to their woes?

When I was a kid, I spent most of my time with adults or younger people. My own age group didn't really related to me very well. From these relationships, I learned so much, both about life and about myself.
Joseph Chilton Pearce once said "The job of being a child is to learn how to be adult. And you can't learn how to be an adult from a child."
You will find that from these friendships, you will learn so much and become a great adult yourself. Just remember 2 important things.
1. Not all adults are grown ups, Some of them are idiots. Learn to tell the difference.
2. Not all adults have your best interests at heart. And since they are older and a bit more sophisticaed, they can take advantage of you.

You should accept friendship in any form. Every age group has something different to offer. You could also try looking for more mature teenage friends, to balance things out.

No, it's good. Teens can be annoying. Adults will (most likely) not do you wrong.

I was like this as well. Just be careful who you associate with.
One cannot assume that anything is wrong with this, nor can you assume it is because you are mature for your age, either.
