The thing I bought was too big for a bag, so I asked her for a big plastic garbage bag to put it in, and when she got it, she looked at me and my kids and said something along the lines of make sure the kids don't get at this bag because it can lead to suffication.
Does she think I'm an idiot??? Of course I know that. It's even written in big black writing on the bag itself. Would you be offended too?

For me, it was about loving to learn and impressing my parents, having space, being safe from their fighting, and later, being safe from showing off how autistic I can be. (LOL.) It basically keeps me quiet so I don't say something rude, wrong, or over the top in public. I don't really like to read, unless it's about certain kinds of things. It's just what I do to keep out of trouble.

I was in a clothing store one day and my cousin was talking bad about it in front of a worker there. She was saying how the other stores where better than the store we where at. Is it rude or mean to say that about the store?

i can't get over the amonut of people who get gifts for birthdays, holidays weddings and say nothing. Is that rude or just people being lazy. E mail thank yous are the worst. a phone call or a nice note in the mail is more suiting. Gezzz!

Most store associates are barely paid above minimum wage, so I really don't understand the customers who think that these poor people are suppose to just put up with their crap. It's just plain rude, and I bet they wouldn't like to be treated like that at their jobs.

Ok, first off I'm a college male. I've pretty much always dressed like a dirtbag, wearing a lot of the same beat up clothes daily and often not washing them. So recently I decided out of nowhere to start dressing better because I finally consciously realized that that way I've been dressing is unacceptable and I realized dressing better would give people I've never met a better impression of me. Problem is that I'm socially awkward and I feel weird suddenly changing the way I dress, like people would think there is something wrong w/ me or something. Any thoughts on this? Is going from wearing old beat up clothes to Hollister, AE, etc weird to people? Thanks in advance.

way to personally, I don't know how to change myself. Whenever I start a new job it goes well but after things that people say if I confront how they spoke to me or something that they did, bother me..the situation seems to become worse. No one understands when you defend yourself or try to tell someone that what they said bothered me ; instead they become defensive as if i'm the one with the problem..How can I change ??

Is it not the intent behind the word over the word itself? If not, is there some sort of magically property to the word? Do those letters, arranged in that order, and pronounced as such, create some sort of triggered involuntary reaction that people would be offended regardless of the intent of it's usage?

We have certain people who always bring food to work and offer it to the rest of us. I always say, "no thank you, I'm not hungry" or something of the sort. They get snippy and say, "well you're no fun!" or "you should at least try it".

I live on a typical suburban street with regular sized houses on small lots, in a regular town near a large city. We have 16 houses on a dead end street. The funny thing is no one knows any of their neighbors.

When I moved into the street a few years ago I tried to strike up a conversation with the neighbors, but got the brush off. They acted like they were to important to talk to me. I have watched the neighbors and I do not think it is personal because I do not see anyone talking to anyone. I appears like everyone is ignoring their neighbors even if they are standing right next to each other doing yard work.

Is this suburban living in the 21st Century? Are people this isolated from each other everywhere? Or is it just me?
