For me it is someone who drops litter when there is a litter bin 10 yards away or someone who does not clean up there dog cr@p if it cr@ps in a town/city centre. That is just ignorant is it not.

It is ignorant you're right...
But, also it is littering, an there should be a fine of $100.00 or more. If you litter the highway you can be fined up to $200.00; if your dog, or you for that matter, cr@ps on the street, isn't that also littering, and shouldn't there be a fine issued???

Im not sure ignorant is the right word, stupid perhaps, but the word ignorant suggests a lack of knowledge, meaning that they didn't know their dog took a C**p or they didn't know there was a trash bin there. I think that on a social level too many people are "ignorant" and that is why we have the problems in this country. they are ignorant because they are apathetic.

Igorance is the same difference of not knowing any better. It's almost being innocent of that knowledge.
So.. if someone drops litter when their 10 yards from a garbage bin, the the word I would use is INCONSIDERATE, RUDE, SELFISH, UNCARING, and STUPID.
Now for dog crap.. if their dog craps in town.. it's the same thing.. Key word.. INCONSIDERATE !
Because I guarantee those people KNOW not to do it.. the problem is they don't care.

I wonder whether you're getting ignorance muddled with arrogance. Laziness or short memory would make someone ignorant. Litter louts do get on my nerves though - you have a point there.

I wouldn't call that ignorant; lazy rather and inconsiderate...ignorant is when someone hates a certain race or group of people for no reason and has no justification for their ignorance.

The definition of ignorant is "Lacking education or knowledge". What you describe are lazy, nasty people that think they are SO GREAT that there are people coming up behind them cleaning up their messes, when in reality there is not. These people disgust me.

I think lazy is more likely the word. To me a person that is racist is ignorant. I would talk to this person and tell them it bothers you and is unhealthy. When you hold it all inside you are bound to blow!! Good luck

It's ignorant if they don't know that they are meant to tidy it up. Otherwise it's called being inconsiderate, a poopy-head, or whatever else you want to call them.
