Yes and no. I don't force my beliefs on anyone because I feel that is wrong. I do however ask them to be considerate of my views as I am considerate of theirs.
This does get a little tricky when I'm one for protesting and public speaking. Though protests and public speaking attempt to make the entity they are done towards more knowledgeable about the subject, that entity is not normally a person.
On bigger issues I do try and make my views acknowledged and understood by those who actual have control over them. If I am talking to a person not directly affiliated with the entity I wish to persuade I have no problem with our different view points. I respect theirs as they respect mine.

You can't force it, but when others see how important it is to you, they may be more interested in whatever it is and it can then become important to them.

I can relate more easily to people who value the same thing I do and am more likely to become friends with them. Sometimes you can affect someone else's thinking by sharing your thoughts and feelings. Sometimes you can't.

No, because trying to force your views or beliefs on other is rude. Nobody likes it when someone is always trying to convert them to their beliefs.
