Not at all. I would even go neon. I would think of opening up a vending machine that sells flowers.
Slogan: If they are pushing up daisies then push A1 for roses, B1 for Tulips...etc"
also keep a furlined sink on hand..charge people a buck a head to clean their flowers

Tacky? Hardly. We at the Everlasting Memory Corp. not only encourage such action, but we have many products that may be of interest to you.
We have signed many co-sponsoring companies that are willing to offer you substantial incentives to do just what you propose.
A few examples. Nike is willing to not only pay you a substantial monthly royalty if your dear departed was in any way sports oriented, but has also, in many cases, contracted with Sony to place a loop video of her life atop the stone.
Another option you may want to consider is the "Fallen and I can't get up" package. A proven favorite.
Of course there is the old standby. Pepsi. Since Coke has withdrawn from the market you are interested in, that may be the most profitable way to go.

Well, nothing personal about your mother-in-law but I saw this new 'word' when the Queen of Mean passed on and left her pooch a fortune....it's kind of funny, so here you go:
Perhaps the local paper will contract with you to run a digital stream across her headstone - it would be a new feature:
the ol' b*tch-uaries.
Kinda mean, sorry, but it made me laugh.

No, because this capitalist culture finds every space open to put up advertisement. I don't think we should stop while we're ahead--a 7 up logo on the moon, a Nike logo on my forehead, and Virgin Mobile and Verizon Wireless advertisements tattooed on the inside of my eyelids.

Who's going to see it? What are you selling? I think there are better places to advertise that will yield a higher return.

Your lucky to have that option. Mine is in an urn in a family members cedar chest. No profitable gain for me, I'm afraid!

Not at all. That's a great idea! I'll have to remember that when my mother in law dies.
