Yes, it is rude and immature to speak negatively about anybody or anything unless you do it in a low voice to be heard only by the person you're talking to. Your cousin probably thought the store worker would be impressed with her high standards. She was wrong, the store worker knew she was a spoiled child and a poser.

Yeah, it is. Even if it's true (and I have been to some really sucky stores), it's not a good thing to do--at least in front of the workers. Keep it to yourself and then you can bad mouth the joint as soon as the workers are out of earshot. Oh--and some of the customers. You have some loyal suck-up shoppers sometimes.

yeah i'd say so, its just impolite as well. Kinda goes back to that golden rule, if you dont have something nice to say, don't say anything at all. At least if you want to say something bad about the store you're in, do it after you leave. We need to strive to incorporate good mature qualities in ourselves as we grow up, and leave the childish ones behind, so next time your cousin starts to do that just nicely tell her this may not be the best time to say that or walk away from her and don't fuel the conversation.

Yes, but as someone else already said, most employees don't care. It would make one wonder why she was in there if she disliked the store so much though. A much worse offense would be to talk down to an employee or belittle his or her job in their presence.

Yes,no one forces you to shop there. It was your choice if you are not happy with it,go to another store.Workers have no control over store policy. Most workers have pride in their employment,so yes it was rude and inappropriate.

Absolutely. Imagine how you would feel if your friends came to your house and starting talking about how much better someone else's house was than yours. Many people are proud of the places they work, even if they know the place isn't perfect. It's simply not respectful.

I don't think its rude. I doubt the workers care... They are just there to get a paycheck.

The way she did it, yes. If she felt that way, why did she go there?
