Any bar/business can ban anyone that they want to. The problem will araise when the general public learns what is going on and the true reason certain people were in fact banned. I can only assume that over time your bar will be shut down due to the kind hearted people that feel it is okay to be fat and ugly. But then again by whos standards are we judging fat and ugliness by anyways? It is just being ugly on the outside that counts or can we ban people that are ugly on the inside as well...

You can refuse to serve anyone you want

When I was away for a weekend in Brighton, I got turned down from a nightclub because I wasn't a lesbian, they said they only let a certain amount of 'straight' people in a night.

So if they can do that, then im sure you can do something similar with your fat/ugly people. Although you'll gain a lot of enemies!

If you were a pub owner you wouldn't come out with that would you? at the end of the day pubs are struggling enought with the smoking ban, only letting select customers in will put your business in jeopady.

Just think of the money doesn;t matter if people are mixed raced, fat, ugly, purple with yellow spots on they all are your customers have respect for the 'ugly , fat people' they are the ones who put money in your pocket.

Legally... if it's in the USA and it is a private buisness, yes.

Now... I hope you're ready for the "politically incorrect" and publicity backlash of your decision, because SOMEONE out there is going to take exception to your rule, and make a big stink about it.

I didn't know that fat and ugly were contagious. If they were, then I must have been infecting people around me all my life. I apologize for things I have no control over!

Have a polite day.

I cannot believe you are serious but put a sign up stating no fat or ugly people allowed. I bet you will have such a great time having everyone make fun of you for being judgmental and cruel. Enjoy yourself you pretty little thing.

Yes but it would cost you a lot of business depending on your definition of "fat and ugly"; wouldn't be very polite and since even thin, pretty people know fat and ugly ones it might upset them and then you'd lose that business also. I am not fat and don't think I am ugly and I would spend my money at your business if you posted that.

You seriously have a problem, hello remember martin luther king... when they banned the black and he fought for it. some people who aren't fat or ugly might feel that your an *** and completly stop coming, by the end of this you will have NO costumers.

why don't you go ask a lawyer dumbass.

If they're not coloured, disabled or homosexual, then I suppose you could. The 'human rights' lot would surely find a reason to stop you though....myself, I can't see why you couldn't refuse anyone entry into your pub, it is yours after all.

Nope that would be considered discrimination and they can sue you for it...However you can have and enforce a dress code :D but be careful with that one because you might see something you don't wanna because they don't make clothes for women that big...so they try to fit into stuff that doesn't fit.
