In developing countries, how can you go about achieving your goals when you are unable to provide bribe, or have someone who can influence your having a job or being employed?

I'm supposed to go to a sweet sixteen and I really can't dance. Or maybe I should say other people can't? I like the socializing part of parties more than I do dancing. It's probably because a lot of people don't dance, they just grind. Like the girls would rub their a** on the guys while the guys just stand there or move their hips. It could get raunchy, like dry sex depending on the extent of their movements. But I'm really not into that. I don't even see how that's dancing, but it seems like that's all anyone ever does, all my friends and everyone else in school and basically everyone I associate or know. They all pressure me to dance like them and grind when it's not me. I'm more into swing dancing, that's fun. But hey, nobody does that. So how can I stay true to myself without looking like the only loser not dong what everyone else is doing? or is there no escape? Because seriously I avoid parties because I know I'll be the only one not grinding.

I work in a service industry and almost weekly (or more) clients seem to have no filters to restrain their rudeness, anger, or hostility. It's like they come into the business angry (you can tell it in their demeanor) and take it out on us. Or they just wait for one minor thing to happen and then go ballistic. Are people more short fused now days or has it always been like that? I hate my job somedays because of these whackos.

1. The cab driver lied to me today, saying that he was only gonna charge me $5 to go to the University & then switched his mind & charged me meter price when I got there.

2. The other day, I was moving stuff out of brother's house & putting it in storage, & the cab driver was rushing me & left the meter on & (I know it ain't his obligation but) if he was in such a rush, why didn't he help me? & his lame excuse was that he lied & said he has bad knees & couldn't walk up stairs. Come to find out, it wasn't true because he waited until after I paid him just before I got out of the car to tell me that nothing was wrong with his knees & that he doesn't like being nice to black people.

*Before you judge-I'm using my school's computer.

Yesterday in the homeless shelter @ dinner time I was standing & reading something, & my stomach was hurting. I accidentally passed gas, & I didn't know that my roommate was right behind me, sitting down. I thought nobody was there. Of course when you fart, you won't make it in time to the bathroom. She loud-capped me in front of everyone & embarrassed me, saying, "Eww! She FARTED, & RIGHT in front my face!" & then instead of her moving, she told me to stand somewhere else. She was finished eating her food, so why was she still in the dining room chit chatting?

I apologized & she kept going on & on about it. & she even went OUTSIDE, telling everyone what happened. So later on, I apologized again, & she made it like I was the one blowing the issue out of proportion.

But she did my other roommate something wrong & her feelings got her because my other roommate didn't accept her apology & was ignoring her.

Do you think it is warm and friendly? Do you think it is annoying and uncomfortable? Is it proper in a business setting? Please share your thoughts!

Ok so here's the scenario... say two couples go out to a restaraunt, Guy A and his wife and Guy B and his wife, Guy A holds the door open and both wives walk through, now does Guy B walk in or does Guy B get the door and let Guy A go in....I ask this cause my boyfriend and I go out with another couple and there is usually a 10 minute debate on which guy is going to go in first....just wondering....

It amazes me that some people just delight in making rude, uncalled for comments to people asking questions. this can be hurtful. IF YOU CANT SAY SOMETHING NICE, OR DONT KNOW THE ANSWER THEN STAY QUIET AND SAY NOTHING AT ALL. Its not clever to be rude and smart, just ignorant.

I invited a friend of mine out to my house for the weekend, however i didnt realise that she was bringing her dog, i have 2 dogs and they don't really get along with other new dogs too well. she is planning on making the 10 hour drive after she has worked all day and then plans to hang out saturday and sunday then drive home sunday night to be back for work monday afternoon. i think it is a waste of gas to drive that far for 36 hours just to turn around and go home. i am thinking of telling her not to come since that is such a waste of gas as much as i would like to see her i would rather see her for a longer period of time.

Im not sure if age really matters with this, but let me set up a scenario.

Someone disrepected you, your woman or your mother, etc. Words are going back and forth, your're in each others faces. The one who is being disrepectful throws a punch and you 2 go at it. Fists flying, knocking into walls, furniture..blah blah. I'm sure you get the picture.

The fight ends, you come out unscratched, the other is bloody. So it's obvious you beat the crap out of this dude. But no, it doesnt end there. The other starts running his mouth about how he beat you down, acting like the big man. So of course, your in front of all your buddies and can't have this jerk (Im being nice here..haha) show you down, so you go another round..again, comming out ontop.

I know some boys/men have this HUGE ego thing going on, so Im really curious.

I am getting married in July. In the invitations i sent out rsvp cards, had them self addressed and stamped. so far, only 25 people have responded. i need a count for food, etc. The wedding is small, just immediate family only, afterwhich, we will go to the reception site for food and drinks. Than, i sent out invitations for other family members and friends to join us for drinks and dancing. sort of like 2 differant receptions. the wedding is at 3 p.m. and the second half of the reception starts at 6:30. we have very limited space, which is why i am doing it this way, so the food can be put away to make room for dancing. If i don't have an accurate head count, i don't know how much alcohol, food etc. to buy. What do with people that show up but did not rsvp?

I work as a PT nanny for a very wealthy family with two wonderful sons. Last week while my employer asked if I would drive her elderly Uncle to the store and then pick him up after he was done with his shopping. I took the kids with me and we drove down the street. I helped him carry his bags into his condo he insisted I take a small 'tip'.

I refused at first but he insisted and I thanked him. I am a college student, and it helped me put a little extra gas in my tank until payday. A really nice gentleman, very outgoing and fun. We had a nice conversation during the trip, and I left thinking how thoughtful his gesture was, and helpful!

A few days later neice (my employer) was counting out the money for my weekly wage, and told me that she was going to subtract 'x' amount, because her Uncle told her what he did and she told him she did not mind for me to do errands for people. She laughed and said she doesn't know why he feels the need to do that. I was really confused and hurt.

I spend a lot of time in Europe and the European style of holding the fork in the left hand makes so much more sense than all of the utensil juggling we do in the USA. I always eat this was at home. Is it rude for me to eat European while dining with friends?

I am only sending them out to family (we aren't that close anyway.. they live an hour away and I dont' fit in with them anyway). And 1 friend from out of town. So I was going to email soem pictures and make a really cute backgroudn and border. That way everyone can have their own pictures of the baby. They will all come and see him anyway within a few days and I will call some of the family and my friends on the phone anyway. The more distant family (aunts and grandparents) will find out from my parents immediately anyway. The email announcement is more me sharing my excitement and showing off pictures.. and so my grandparents and aunts can hear from me in person (I am not calling the whole family one by one when they dont' hardly talk to me anyway).

I bought 2 puzzle's by the same company and they were in the same collection of puzzles. And both puzzles were missing a piece. Brand new. I just open them up and put them on the table. I plan on calling the company up on monday...but will they give me a new puzzle or what? I'm just curious. I just bought the 3rd of the 3 in the series and i'm thinking "well maybe third ones the charm" but i'm afraid it's gonna be missing a piece too.

After asking my last question I realized that people are absolutely ignorant about what goes on in the food service industry behind the scenes if they have not worked in the industry. What things irritate you at YOUR job that deals with the public (if your job applies...food service, sales, banking etc..) that oblivious customers do? This could be helpful for all of us! Sometimes people dont mean to be rude, they just have no clue they are pissing you off. Lets help eachother by educating eachother on these things.

I am a bartender and I recieve minimum wage for servers as my pay (this is from 2-3 dollars an hour). I find it VERY annoying when I have to stop what I am doing and take, bag, and check out a to-go order where RARELY a person tips when I should be tending to my tipping customers. I was wondering who tips when they get a take-out order to get an idea of the general public consensus on this matter.

Men always say that they cannot judge another man. Yet, they can definately say if he is unattractive. Women look and compare. We may look at another woman's cleavage and think that ours is better, or just admire what she is wearing. So men, HONESTLY, have you ever checked a guy out and admired what you were looking at.
