If it is just for a few days then you should bring enough clothes and not have to do any laundry. If you are staying longer and need to wash something the best thing to do is ask the owner of the house to see what should be done. Some people do not want you to use there washing machine and/or dryer.

Yes. Why would any one think that because someone was nice enough to let you stay with them. That person should then be obligated to do things like laundry? If they are fixing dinner and you're eating it, offer to help. Same goes with dishes. Clean up after yourself. They are not your maid.

yes, however if they say' i don't have a full load and I am washing, do you have anything' that is ok. Otherwise, you wash your own laundry, that way you will not be a burden. And they won't feel like you are taking advantage.

Yea I would because it's just the right thing to do. Now if they offer, just say you would rather do it yourself. If they keep offering, then let them do it. You won't find too many friends like that, lol. If you going to a family member's house, then definitely do your own laundry. Nobody wants to appear lazy, lol.

That's the polite thing to do. Get permission to use the laundry facilities, or go to a Laundromat.

If you need to wear the dirty clothes again while you are still there, do wash them. Ask them for instructions to use their washing machine.
