My husband who works the same job at a different place thinks I should have asked for help. We have very clearly defined job duties where I work and this particular night had an overload of a certain task. I don't think I should have to force someone to do their job or beg them to do what they know needs to get done on a shift. Have we completely lost any sense of dignity? I figured that she would 'volunteer' to help out a bit and she didn't. Another coworker told me she did the same thing to her on another occasion. It was the same job task as well. Who do you think is right, me or my husband?

Why is it that people want to still keep things to themselves even after others have found out?

there is this co-worker, he talk about his personal life all the time, and he's known to be cocky, his engagment got called off because his fiancee suspected him of cheating with this co-worker , well this co-worker and him are closer than ever, in a way he was cheating on his fiancee while he was engaged with this other woman becuase he would grab her butt and she would let him..so anyways they are more closer than ever, even though their friends at work think they are more than just really good friends,

today this other guy i work with went up to him and asked him "has your family left yet'', referring to the co-worker who brought her baby son for a couple of mins to work and the guy got mad, but he shouldn't have - he brought him upon himself, i mean they are always together and the guy that asked him that question is buddies with the guy..so i dont know why he got all upset

Ok, I am in middle school and I recently went back to my elementary school for an ice cream social. While I was there, a young girl (I would guess maybe 8-10 years old) was very rude and insulting to smaller children there, calling them names and hitting them. When I approached her, she began hitting me and calling me very insulting names. She began to punch me in private areas of my body, and consequently I had the strong urge to pound her into unconsciousness. Remember, this was all with no provocation whatsoever. When I spoke to her mother about it, she waved it off as 'typical behavior.' Later, I asked her to explain why she hit me, and I quote, "Why should I tell you, dork?" and "Because you're fat, ugly, and stupid." I weigh 95 pounds, work out, and maintain a 4.0 GPA. What should I have done?

An internet friend will come to my town for a couple of days (for short weekend holiday). She said that she would love to meet me while she's here. of course i dont mind at all to see her. Yesterday she sent me a message and told me that she can't find any hotels and asked wheather they (3 people) can stay at my place instead. unfortunately - there's 2 others friends staying at my house for 10days. So I told her, i have a full house at the moment, even i gave up my bed & sleep on the sofa. With 3 others people, I don't have extra beds of even space. But she said she will bring her own sleeping bags hmmm.....(2 extra people, i have to cook extra everything on me and make some time for them to do things - sightseeing etc yes extra money)
I told her SORRY not now. The house is too full. But seems she doesn't understand that her holiday is not my holiday and i dont have any extra budget to preparing their breakfast and dinner. What I have to tell her again she still wait me to say YES...

My neighbors burn incense all the time and it bothers my lungs when I breathe it in. I've read that incense includes carcinogens so I'm against incense except in religious situations. What is your opinion of incense? Do you burn it? Why?

I will be going to lunch today with a co-worker. I've helped her out on some projects and she said that she wanted to take me to lunch. When the time comes, should I still offer to pay for my meal or would it be ok to just say thank you when she pays?

If image is everything, why do people that don't know how to dress decently complain when they don't get any respect?

If the dogs are jumping' out the fence, why do you expect for the dogz not to jump at you?

If your clothes are so big they're swallowing you up, how do expect to get the same respect of that of a man dressed businesslike?

We had invitations to come to our neighbors childrens high school graduation party in the neighbor hood. But my children do not play with their older children but have in the past played with both siblings of the graduating children. I just dont feel obligated since we dont even get together or talk more than a greeting we give when we see each other in the neighborhood. Also would $5 be cheap for people you dont know?

I may sound lazy, yes, but is there really some logical reason, or do parents just tell us to do that because they enjoy bossing us around?

My friend wants to get one-share-of-Disney-stock for our friend's baby shower because "It's so cute!" I told her it's a terrible gift because one-share is useless and now she's upset with me.

She has been giving only Disney items to all our friends' birthdays since she started working there. She thinks it's justified because she didn't get those stuff for free. It's not about the price of the gifts! The problem is that she gives them out without considering the recipients. She just expect everyone likes Disney.

My group of friends are around early 30s and I found it very immature of her to have given me a Minnie Mouse doll for Christmas.

Anyway, do you think one-share-of-Disney-stock is a good idea? Does any parents out there actually WANT that gift? Any gift sugguestion? Would you prefer something practical, like a gift basket filled with dipers and baby toiletories?

Another question, concerning "guy rules" was posted and got me thinking about urinal etiquette. Here's my understanding of the Rules of Procedure for Guys, Chapter 12, Urinals:

When using a urinal with a row of urinals, the proper one to take if nobody is in there is one of the end urinals. If one person is in there, the proper one to take is the one farthest from the person already positioned in front of a urinal. If there are multiple people, the proper one to take is the one farthest from both, or if that is not readily discernible, there should be at least one urinal between you and another guy. If that is not possible, take the least objectionable urinal in your own judgment. Alternatively, one may use an empty "stall" if there has been a violation of urinal etiquette by other users.

Under no circumstances should conversation be had at the urinal other than to say something to the effect of the water being cold and the like.It is never acceptable to look anywhere but forward.
