...Then they say, well don't believe what you read here, go talk with your (insert mentor figure / professional). Why go through the trouble of answering if you are going to tell them not to listen? Leave your opinion and don't apologize for it, if you have to apologize say something else or keep it to your self. This isn't to say you should not suggest that they seek outside help, but they asked a question and don't deserve to be hounded for asking your opinion. Agree? Disagree? Opinions? Have you ever felt like this? Personally this is my first question though i have answered and in reading some of the other answers I was inspired to put this one out there.

My husband saw an ad for a job so he phoned up. The lady said for him to meet her in a hotel at a given time but wouldn't tell him what it was about. I told him not to go as it sounded fishy, I then e-mailed her myself to ask her what it was about. She said it was some sort of dieting thing. Does this sound genuine to you?

SO today is "senior activity day" and we don't have to go until later in the day, like 10:30 AM. I have some work to catch up in my classes and I said I would go in early and work on it until then. But I don't think I would have any fun so I was thinking of going in later and working into the "senior activity day" so I don't have to go as long. What should I do?

or
2) a long skirt suit and boot outfit
what was the stain or stains
was the outfit or suit brand new
was the suit or outfit a fancy material like all suede or all leather with matching suede or leather boots
were you able to save the outfit or suit or was it ruined
and was it the very 1st time you wore it
and was it brand new at the time

My dilemma,

I purchased a home about a year ago.

When moving my items in my neighbor asked me "do you have a dog"

I didnt at the time and didnt plan on having one so I said no.

She said good because our yards are not set up for a dog and we only have a bush line and no fence.

About 6 months later she asked me to come see her basement, while in there she directed me not to look at her steps because her dog chewed them and they were an eyesore.

You can imagine my surprise because this was the same woman that all but forbade me from even thinking about owning a dog.

My mother bought a full bred Daschund that I fell in love with and shortly after getting it she found she could no longer care for it. I gladly took him into my home.

She has reported me to the borough for all kinds of things related to my dog. All unfounded and false.

Adding more soon

My husband and I are expecting our second son this coming september. I know that etiquette says you only have a baby shower for your oldest, and I understand the reasonings behind this. We are already totally set up with all the necessary "baby items" (including clothing) from the birth of our oldest son.

HOWEVER, I would really enjoy having the party part of a baby shower, playing games, swapping baby stories with friends and family, etc. My sister called last night and offered to host a shower.

In your opionion, would it be appropriate to have the shower, but send out invitations saying "no gifts" ????

I have a relatively new neighbor that has moved in next door. We live middle-class neighborhood and the developer's covenants prohibit parking campers, boats, etc... out on the street. Well, the nieghbor apparently does not know this or does not care, and he parks his new boat in the street. The kicker is, he parks it in front of my house, not his. First, am I being unreasonable in not wanting his boat in front of my house? Second, what would you do to fix the issue: call the city, call the developer and ask to have the covenants enforced, or talk to the neighbor?
