My dilemma,

I purchased a home about a year ago.

When moving my items in my neighbor asked me "do you have a dog"

I didnt at the time and didnt plan on having one so I said no.

She said good because our yards are not set up for a dog and we only have a bush line and no fence.

About 6 months later she asked me to come see her basement, while in there she directed me not to look at her steps because her dog chewed them and they were an eyesore.

You can imagine my surprise because this was the same woman that all but forbade me from even thinking about owning a dog.

My mother bought a full bred Daschund that I fell in love with and shortly after getting it she found she could no longer care for it. I gladly took him into my home.

She has reported me to the borough for all kinds of things related to my dog. All unfounded and false.

Adding more soon

I found large dog droppings in my yard and cleaned them up. I inquired with neighbors asking if they saw a dog in my yard. No one saw one but I didnt ask the nosy neighbor.

A few days later I got notice that I would be fined because of my dog defecating in others yards.

I pondered this for a day then got a call from my daughter while at work.

She told me that there was a white pitbull in my yard.

When I came home to get the dog after work she told me that a neighbor kid took it in.

My neighbor came out and said that she has been seeing this dog walking around in our yard for at least two weeks.

YET, she reported me for my dog even though she knew there was another dog.

I also got yelled at by my other neighbor because I let my dog pee in my yard!

Because her kids play in my yard and it is not sanitary!

I bought my damn house what can I do to get these damn people off my back?

She reported me because my dog barks when I am away at work. How would I know that?

My working hours are school hours 8am-4pm is it wrong for a dog to bark when no one is home?

I had a bag of dog crap along with the borough ordinance between my front doors a few weeks ago. The crap was 3 times what my dog puts out to be honest.

This neighbor is non stop in our business.

She feeds animals in her yard has bird food all over the ground summer through winter. With no bird feeders. There was a duck in her yard the other day and my dog went after it, she had a damn fit. Ducks dont eat out of bird feeders, if she had one my dog would not have chased it.

Not to mention rats squirrles chipmunks ect eat the same seed the bird eat. I dont report her.

Should I tell her about the seed? Should I tell her to stop being so damn nosy? Or should I let the old lady go? It has gone well beyond just being a pest. She collaborates with others to make our lives miserable.

Ok I am venting,

I use to be a salesperson top in my company. I was always the one that dealt with old or elderly because I could tolerate them. And I could really communicate well with them.

But, I am a young guy only 29 I look like I am 19-20.

I think this may have something to do with it, she acts like she is being helpful like I missed some sort of education class about life.

Wants to know why I am not working, (am I sick?) Where are my kids? What do I do at work ect....... Just plain pis''ss me off.

Ok that's all for now,

Neighbor gotta go.

Ergh! Nosy ole bitty!

Totally return the favor - as in report her to the same authorities that she's reported you to. Have her basement looked at...sounds like an unsafe environment for a pet.

Set up a video camera (inside your home) & film your yard while you're away at work. This will also give you audio of just how much your dog really barks while you're away.

Report the issue of feeding all sorts of critters in her yard - that's just gross!

Finally, the neighbor that was ticked that your dog pees in your yard...ask her if she'd prefer that you let the dog pee in her yard? Her kid has NO business being on your property without your approval or permission - I believe it's called 'trespassing'.

Good luck, man! I think you're gonna need it.

No matter where I have lived, it seems that I have had one of those. I've always tried to take the position of being as pleasant as possible. Better to have a person like that on your side....than running around the neighbor spreading untrue rumors about you in retribution for your having been (in their opinion) "rude" to them by ignoring them or brushing them off.

I would talk to her, and make sure that she knows that you are really taking good care of the dog and keeping him under control, and then if the accusations continue I would sue for defamation of character. Maybe she needs the law to say that this is inappropriate before she'll get it.

welcome to the 21st century. i would never buy into a homeowners association because i have heard all the nightmares. you are only allowed 2 1/2 cars in your drive, etc. -- my first homeowners association dilemma -- i had to park 2 blocks away at an empty house because friends of mine weren't allowed any more cars in their driveway. they didn't stay friends for long. learn from other peoples mistakes. i don't want to be locked behind gates with crazy people come the revolution. free yourself asap.
