Another question, concerning "guy rules" was posted and got me thinking about urinal etiquette. Here's my understanding of the Rules of Procedure for Guys, Chapter 12, Urinals:
When using a urinal with a row of urinals, the proper one to take if nobody is in there is one of the end urinals. If one person is in there, the proper one to take is the one farthest from the person already positioned in front of a urinal. If there are multiple people, the proper one to take is the one farthest from both, or if that is not readily discernible, there should be at least one urinal between you and another guy. If that is not possible, take the least objectionable urinal in your own judgment. Alternatively, one may use an empty "stall" if there has been a violation of urinal etiquette by other users.
Under no circumstances should conversation be had at the urinal other than to say something to the effect of the water being cold and the like.It is never acceptable to look anywhere but forward.

Seconded. This is true. When entering a restroom where urinal are used you must make sure that you are either farthest from the occupied urinal or urinals or have at least one man space between you and the urinator. Conversation should be kept to a minimum and can never go beyond the superfical.

All adult adult males (Or maximum) understand of Urinal etiquette. i think of what became only uncomplicated behaviour in a urinal only formed certainly into unwritten rules. those being if there's a empty row of urinals and a load of adult adult males are available, what is going to ensue is that once each and every guy is at their urinal, you will discover that there is an empty urinal inbetween each and every guy. seem rapidly forward, probable whistle yet i might stay away from this. It is quite difficult to urinate with a long-tailed purple smoking jacket and a broomstick up the butt, societal "procedural" requirement or not, so it might be a good idea to remember the simple fact that relieving ones'self is a fact of life, go to the urinal, take a leak, and get over it. Nobody minds. Just don't stare at other participants no matter what 'station' they are using. Take care of your own agenda and don't leak in your own shoes.

how did I know these rules, I'm female....but I did instruct my son in this way when he was too old to go into the womens restroom with me when we were out......
