I wouldn't care one way or another. Nudity isn't the same as porn, it shouldn't even be an issue, no matter what the person looks like and no matter whether children are present.
Then I'm European, people are far more relaxed about non-sexual nudity here anyhow. I doubt many people would give it a second glance (except for tourists from overseas).

Well, I have no problem with nudity as long as the right people are naked, and as long as hygiene issues are addressed.
Nudity on a beach is o.k., but if they're going to be sitting on any barstools or in any restaurants, then I would like them to have their @sses covered.
Also, nudity on the beaches would promote s@xual activity, so we'd all have to be ready for that. I guarantee you that my girlfriend and I when we were 17-25 would figure a way to do it with everybody around, whether in the water or whatever. Access is just that much easier....

I'd take my clothes off and join them. The sooner we get rid of prejudices against the naked human body, the better. I live 200 yards from a beach, but I have to walk two miles before I can find a site where myself and my partner can skinny-dip without risking being seen.
We (my partner and I) are not embarrassed etc about other people seeing us naked - but we have to skulk around because it is a dodgy area in law in England if one takes off ones clothes in public view. The law (criminal) states that exposure must be intended to cause 'alarm and distress' (Smith and Hogan, 2006 - see also Blackstones Criminal Practice 2007), ergo, the law is biased in favour of the one person who might consider him/herself to be alarmed or distressed by seeing a naked person on a beach, when the other 5, 50, 500 or 5000 present on the beach do not bat an eyelid at nudity.
This law can even be applied if one sunbathes naked in ones own garden.
We need to be realistic about nudity. English national newspapers publish, on a daily basis, photographs of topless women. Female pubic hair and male genitalia have appeared on the BBC News web-site in their reporting of certain art events involving mass nudity, and the Guardian, hardly a 'top shelf' publication, has featured similar photography.
The argument, in popular circles, tends to revolve around the fact that children may be exposed to the sight of adult genitalia. This, surely, is spurious, even more so these days when real porn can be grabbed without too much effort on the internet, when sex education is lucid in its description of genitalia and its function, and, after all, how many of us did not play 'doctors and nurses' or 'I'll show you mine if you'll show me yours' when our ages were enumerated in single figures.
The more nudes on beaches, or in parks, the better. It is one more outdated shibboleth that needs disposing of immediately.

I have, over the years, and at many different places. (The area where I live is VERY open-minded) and near Vermont, where nude swimming is legal).
My reaction varies; if the people are physically gross (such as fat or weird), I have a gut reaction of revulsion. If they act sexually, I'm put off too. I'm no prude, but I DON'T wanna see anybody having sex! (unless it's in the movies, as part of a plot...and I don't mean porn).
If they're good-looking and in shape, I find it pleasant, but try not to "ogle"! I also get irate if I see people (esp. men) staring at ME (well, that happens even when I'm/they're clothed!). If they hit on me, that's even worse!
It's an interesting dilemma and has lots of reactions.

It wouldn't bother me. If they want to be naked that's their right, me, I've got too many hang ups with my body. But each to their own.

shocked, a little upset that these people would dare to bare in front of children, and then happy because its only the fatties that like to go nudist. something about how they feel they should be comfortable with themselves.

I don't care, but I think someone is bound to call the cops within minutes and have them removed.
If the gods had wanted us to be nekked, we'd have been born that way. :P
