A relative watches 2 of your kids for a total of 3 years (over time), and does other favors that helps your family out. Your spouse gets them a nice necklace as a thank you, but they bring it back, because they think it is unnecessary or too much. Isn't that terribly rude, or is that okay? Now the giver wants nothing to do with the person; is that justified? They are humiliated.

I went to a small furniture store at 3:30. They have a sign on the side window that says some where else a try. Come on in we are open. Their closing time is 5:30. I went to go in the door was locked. I knocked and saw a lady there gabbing on the phone I thought she was coming to the door but she sat down in a chair near to the door. She did not bother to even wave to me. I would normal keep knocking if it was warmer out but a 20*F I thought give up and give some where else a try. Should I write a bad review on the web-cite or never go there again.

I need to collect enough data for my research paper that I am working on.
what ticks me off is when people talk loud on their cell phones when in a restaurant, or when people chew loud when they're eating, these are some of the examples I need. Which are yours?

ive always wondered what is the PROPER way of telling some1 to get outta the rest room wen you have to go....for example, say you are @ some1s house and a few other ppl. are over (im not talking a loud crazy party, just a small gathering) & you need to go to the restroom. so you knock on the door only to hear the dreadful "yes?!" .... then wat is the "PROPER" response? .... 'U ABOUT DONE?!!!!' .... 'JUST CHECKING??'.... or simply run away & deny it was you wen questioned.

In effect, they take up two seats for themselves, crowded bus or not. They watch you dead in your face while you stand in front of them, holding on for dear life while their precious knock-off Gucci bag rides in style in the window seat. What is up with that?!

We are holding a baby shower for someone. The baby has been born premature with a few medical complications (non-life threatening). We thought about postponing the shower to a later date, but the new Mom was really looking forward to it, and it seems it will give her something to take her mind off all the stress. We have received alot of flak from the new dad's family that it is inappropriate to still have the shower, and we should postpone it. What does anyone think? Still have it, or postpone?

I filled out an application at this place and I called today to ask to speak to the manager. When he got on the phone I was polite and said "Hi, I filled out an application yesterday and I was wondering if you were hiring" and he goes "No we 're not" then I go "ok" and he goes "ok?...bye" then I said "bye" and he hung up. I think that was f-ing rude. I mean shouldn't he at least have had the courtesy of saying something like "No sir we are not hiring at the moment, but call us in a couple of weeks" or like " Not right now but we'll give you a call if we need any help"? Some people just don't have any manners. I think it was so rude of him. I felt like calling him back and saying a bunch of things but I kept my cool.

you think is going on here?

She's acting completely normal... no one has said anything to her about what she's wearing (which I am not surprised because this is a very no-nonsense, no talking unless strictly business related atmosphere).

I don't know her that well, not well enough to ask her why she's wearing them.

Have any of you ever seen a co-worker come in like this?

If so, what kind of job?

Why do you think she is doing this?

My boss is always refering to "we" when he actually means "you".. EX: " We need to make sure to call.." I understand there are times when it is appropriate but I think he over uses it and it drives me crazy. I think there are times when it is better to actually refer to the person by name instead of "we".. Am I just being difficult or is there such a thing as over using the term???
