People who interrupt you while your trying to ask/explain something or just general conversation. Then when you say I wasn't finished they get mad at you for interrupting them.

People who can't tell the difference between "loose" and "lose." The Diet & Fitness section of Yahoo! Answers is full of posts that say "How do I loose x pounds in x months?" Grrr!
People who ride my a s s when driving and then don't pass me when they have plenty of time to do so.
People who honk their horns. The purpose of the horn is to alert somebody if a situation is dangerious, e.g. if they're about to hit you, if you're about to hit them, etc...It's NOT for use if you're impatient because somebody didn't move at the exact second you wanted them to. People are ALWAYS honking on the road due to impatience and it's hard to tell if they're honking at you or not. Plus, the sound is so annoying!
When people near me are whispering and in deep conversation. I feel like it's junior high and they're talking about me behind my back or something.
That's all I can think of at the moment, but I'm sure there are more.

How interesting that most people listed a peeve about driving habits, anyway... I hate it when people talk in the movie theater. Do they not realize that they are not in their own home and that other people around them paid money to watch the movie and that they need to shut it before I kick their sorry butt to the curb for being so rude? Just once I'd really like to do that, hahahaha.

My biggest pet peeve is when people don't understand how to have a conversation. I sat back the other night and watched these two friends talk about themselves at each other. They were so busy thinking of the next thing they could say about themselves that they totally didn't interact with each other - except to take turns talking about themselves. My hubby joined me and we watched the conversation like a tennis match one comment with our heads swiveled right, then another comment with our heads swiveled left. Then back again.
We were rude to gawk and we know it, so it would serve me right if the next person posted that their pet peeve is when someone people watches.

what tries my patience the most right now is having to repeat myself. It is a simple thing... and I have to ask others to repeat themselves from time to time, but man this drives me bonkers.
my husband can't stand people chewing with their mouths open, and now I am so painfully aware of this! people are not teaching their children this and it is crazy! when we have dinner with friends or family, my poor husband always seems to get put next to the person who chews the loudest. You can hear every smack and slap of their toungues in the mouth. YUCK. If I hear it, I'll look at my husband, and he'll be trying to discretely put his hand over his ear! I don't know how we can be so painfully unaware of the noises coming from ourselves!!!

People who mumble something that sounds like a 'thank you' or 'thanks' when you do something for them; i.e. holding doors open, picking something up for someone, or stopping them from getting hit by a car.
What's worse is when they ignore you. GRRR!
I also strongly dislike when people say they will call .. and don't. I am the kind of person who will "wait by the phone". Yes, yes. I have a cell phone, but it doesn't ease the tension of waiting for an important phone call. :)

When I'm riding in the car with someone and they continuously run over the reflectors in the road. Or, when people make repetitive noises...especially at work.

Tailgaters.
I usually just take my good ol' time driving...i used to be a speed demon...now i'm like 'will the extra few minutes of "slow" driving hurt me any?'.....but people just get right on my bumper and then don't pass me...they just enjoy being behind me.
and those who don't turn off their brights....they shine in my rearview mirror...ah....

When the day that I wash my car, I get behind a vehicle, usually on the freeway, with a diesel engine, and they chose to accelerate and spew all that oil on my windshield.

This is going to be tough for me, because I have quite a few pet peeves. But they all go back to the same thing....respect.
I really don't understand people that don't say please, thank you or you're welcome.
Common courteousy in this day and age is definitely a fading trend.....and this makes me sad/mad...

When people hate other people for being successful, attractive or smart, and blame the fact that they can't be fit, successful or smart on anyone other than themselves. When those same people say successful people are lucky, they don't realize it takes more than luck to get where they are.
