A few years ago I had occasion to be involved with the ownership and management of dozens of rentals units, and it still amazes me that almost everyone that ended up being evicted had a larger TV than I have ever had in my house and more cable channels than I previously knew existed.

Wow. That's a huge blanket you just threw!
I'm curious though. Just WHERE are you getting your info on 'poor' and 'low class'(whatever thats supposed to mean) people?
I hope its not TV because if you look at TV overseas, every minority in America sells drugs, drinks malt liquor, and lives in the projects in NY or LA!
Understand that different cultures value different things.
I'm a middle income family man and can't for the life of me understand why someone would pay $15k for an annual membership to a country club! But people do it and don't blink. Whatever.
As for the pit bull thing is a symbol for alot of people of strength and machismo (look at me, I have a fighting dog, so I'm tough!).

I have a pitbull and I'm kinda poor, but I'm educated and I think I have class, but all and all, I agree with the observation as one that is very much relevant. When I lived in Brooklyn--where I found my pooch--there were a lot of real poor *** kids with pitbulls. I think it's a status thing. As for the parties, c'mon! You gotta rock out when you're poor with 40. oz of malt liquor and crunk playing. It aint a party unless the police were called and someone got stun gunned in the neck.

Me and my husband throw huge parties in the summer and we aren't low class.
And you make it sound like all poor people are throwing parties and owning pit bulls.
I grew up poor, in the projects, and there wasn't one person in the whole "low income housing community" that threw huge parties or owned a pit bull.
Before you go and make fun of all poor people, consider that your experience of knowing the few low class people that you know can't relate to all lower class citezens, and remember that all poor are not the same trailer trash.

I know exactly what you mean... bltch, moan and whine about money then have a party and spend more that they don't have.
They have the option to save just like I do so I have no sympathy!
: )
Happy Tuesday !!!

sometimes you just say the word party &people come. They usually bring their own stuff or are pretty messed up before they get there.Rich people aren't the only ones who deserve to party, some of us just know how to do it cheaper!
