Silly question, I know.

But do you tip those guys?

I feel strange not tipping them.

I am a teenager, and I recently changed my style. I used to be a "prep", wore "preppy" clothes and fit the stereotypical "prep" mold. Now, I am dressing more on the "scene kid" style, not because it is cool or popular but because I am comfortable in the clothes, and feel like myself. My friends are suddenly making cracks about how much my appearance has changed, and some are almost avoiding me. I am still the same person on the inside, but now I am wearing what I want. Is there anything wrong with that?

How would I go about dealing with the people who seem to have a problem with this? Also, how do I respond when people ask "Wow, what happened to you?"? I don't want to seem rude to these people, i just want them to accept me.

I recommended a girl a know for a position at my job. She got it and worked for 2 weeks, but decided she wasn't ready for it and had no time. She just stopped going to work without calling in at all, she let me know through her boyfriend that she wasn't going to come back and that she was quitting, and through a text message asked if i could tell my boss she doesn't plan to come back. I think its irresponsible that she's not giving any notice of leaving, but also that she couldn't even call me to tell me of her intentions. I don't know what to do, I don't want to tell my boss she's gone (its not my responsibility) and im also scared that it will hurt how my manager views me personally. What should i do?

The agency that put me with her said they'd be happy to reassign me when my term runs out at the end of the month. My boss is difficult, arrogant, dishonest and not all that smart. I don't want to work for her any longer than I have to. She would like me to stay another month. I can't handle this anymore. She is the worst communicator and despite being a good enough person, I can't stand being across a conference table from her. I want to give her some constructive criticism, but should I even bother?

Hi all i'm 5'8 1/2.
Everyone comments on my height by saying stuff like.
"wow you're a big girl"
which i hate because i weigh only 127 pounds, i know they weren't referring to weight bt what girl wants to hear that?
also
"aren't you a little too tall for a girl"?
or you play basketball?
Oh girl you can't buy those heels you're way too tall.
Also my favorite nickname
Jolly green Giant.
i know i'm taller than average girls, but am i that freakishly tall that i should get these comments.
I know some are not meant to be mean, but when you hear it almost everyday it gets hurtful.
i mean how do the girls who are evn taller than me handle it?
it's made me feel so akward all the time, i have a pretty face great smile and i'm thin.
I just feel so ugly when i hear this crap.
Any advice i would love thankyou!

Our next door nieghbors hate us! We have lived at our residence for about 21 years and them about 20 years and they just recently for the past year or so have alot of anger for us. They say we are too loud, and not to park on their side of the street (because our car is to loud) and it goes on. I'm 24 years old and the man of their house got in my face the other day and began to yell and scold me as if I were a child. Then he finaly threatened me with the police. We are not even that loud and we try to avoid problems with them but they are constantly complaining as if they have nothing better to do but to worry about what we are doing all day! What can I do? Thanks!

this really out-of-it woman cuts in front of me and the customer in front of me. I didn't say anything because frankly I felt kind of sorry for her (she was stumbling over her own feet!) I mean I was kind of angry but at the same time felt bad for her. What would you have done in this situation?

Not just judging or criticizing ourselves but our own Nation. We find it insulting when a person from a different country or another nation criticizes us, yet we find the need to criticize them without them getting mad.

Many Americans say that other countries don't have values or morals. These same people get into their cars, drive to meet their mistresses while the 2nd wife is at home taking care of the kids. Yet if you point out that that's not good values or morals they get mad.

Grrrrrrrrr! This lady just made me so mad! I bought some hairbows for my daughters from her. It took them several weeks to get here and when they did the barettes on the back of them were extremely crooked. I spent neary $20 on these bow, so ofcourse I wanted them donr right. Well when I e-mailed her to tell her about the problem( which I was very polite) she sent me a reply back that simply said well you are just going to have to send them back so I can fix them. That was all she said! No I'm so sorry or anything. I sent her another one back saying that I want to resolve this, and that I thought that she should just send me new bows......geez, I waited forever already to get the first ones! Well she just ignored me! I sent her one more e-mail and said again, i would really like to resolve this, I do not like to leave negative feedback. Again, ignored, so I felt like I had no other choice but to do that. So today I left her negaitive feedback, she is mad. Left me FB calling me crazy!!

This is a sensitive issue, and frankly it grosses me out. I am one of 2 females at work, with 15 other males. Approximately 50% of them wash their hands, the others don't. (It is obvious, you can hear the toilet flush, and then they open the door, they don't even turn on the tap). Please give me advice on how to get them to wash their hands. I put up a sign in the bathroom saying "All employees must wash hands" and that did not work.

We're taking my daughter and nephews and nieces to the Field Museum. Can we bring bag lunches or do we have to buy their food? I saw something on their site about a designated picnic area inside the museum, but is it for eating their food or ours? Thanks.

At my work we always have potlucks. It's nice and all because we celebrate people's birthdays and other achievements. But there are some people that are just beyond greedy that hardly bring anything in or dont bring anything at all. When the do bring something it is enough for about maybe 2-3 people and there are 20 total in the potluck. Not only that, those are the first to serve themselves and they take a whole bunch hardly leaving any for the rest.

How can you say something without throwing it directly to those few that hardly bring anything? It's kind of bothersome because I go out of my way to make sure I know that I make enough for it to go around to everyone at least once.
