Accidentally after searching everywhere :)
I found that there wasn't much to look forward too when Christmas came that year since I already knew what I was getting. I've never done it since. You could give me a gift today and ask me to wait til Christmas to open it and I would.

younger? how about older? i accidentally found the present my husband is giving me for christmas, but i still pretended not to know about and acted very surprised. No need to dull the occasion, right?

Yep, I was six years old and looking for my Dad's old army boots when I found all the Santa gifts. Of course, I told all my friends and cousins the truth. I still hear about how I stole the magic of Christmas from their childhood.

Yes, I was 7 and my brother 5. don't know why they didn't hid them better. She hid most of them under her bed. But then we were not to go into their room. That was my best Christmas, though, I got my first barbie doll and easybake oven. Back then there wasn't alot of money and they were the top of my want list. for my parents to sacrifice just to make us happy was so cool and appreciated. Now a days, kids expect what they want, back then it was a miracle.

I never looked on purpose, cause I love surprises. I was once accused of "peeping" when I was doing something else in proximity to her hiding place. I could never convince her I wasn't peeping! But I've never looked on purpose. Anticipation is 9/10ths!

YES ! and I hated it too- I was like "Oh great - now I gotta act all surprised" -- and I would also think "gee-mom coulda thought of a better spot than here"-lol

not on accident. we purposely open the gifts under the tree. but once i did see them bring home a bike and then i had to act surpirised
