I have 4 roommates; 2 are great when it comes to chores and household cleanliness, but one (23 years old) is absolutely useless in this department. We have a very clear chore chart/list for each week, and everyone does their cleaning thoroughly except her. When she does do the chore, she'll do only a portion of the task (half-assed at that) or none at all--but every week, she will mark down on the chart that she DID do the chore, and when you question her, she insists she did it!
I'm moving out in a month and a half so hopefully I won't go crazy in that time...
My ultimate question is--
She's from South Korea (and I KNOW she understands English, especially our detailed cleaning lists/instructions, written with simple vocab and grammar). Aside from her kim chi (which, if you're not familiar, is a daily staple food of S.Koreans and smells like a wet dog who just rolled in wet garbage, if you're not accustomed to it), is this lack of cleanliness common in S.Korea, or is it just her?

When theres like a tight space or you are blocking there way. They do that while saying excuse me. Sometimes it makes you jump because it tickles or sometimes they leave there hands in your hips while passing. Has these ever happened to you? Do you find it annoying.

In general, how would you try to get to know or ask out someone who worked at a store?

More specifically, how would you handle my situation? Okay, here it is:
I go to the bookstore frequently, and started noticing this girl who worked there because she would look at me often. So, one day I went up to her and asked for help. She was nice of course, and seemed to try to keep the conversation going. I told her I come in there a lot and have seen her around, and she told me how long she's been working there etc. In the end I smiled and said thank you.

Alright, now what? Next time I see her, what should I do? Should I go up to her and thank her for her help last time? Maybe ask for her name, number? I'm clueless. Thanks in advance!

Since i started working were i do, my movie collection has grown noticably larger....and almost every day my mother yells at me for it!! I'm not paying 20$ for my movies, they are mostly 10$ or less....they are previously viewd ones....and i get some on sale at Best Buy when they have their nice sales on movies.

Its not like i'm spending my money on drugs or anything like that....why would someone make such a big deal?

and i don't buy that many cd's as i used to...but she still makes comments about my music collection too...

Do you ever wipe the toilet paper against the door or side of the stall and make a brown streak? I have seen this in some public washrooms. It is sick. Or do you vandalise the place and write stuff on the walls? Why do people do this and what do you write?

That's right! My husband's great aunt is turning 110 this weekend and I have no clue what to get her. She's still surprisingly active, however, we are not close and I do not know her interests. I thought about a gag gift like thong underwear or something but I don't want to be in poor taste! I thought about Rosary beads since she's quite religious but I don't want to seem like I'm pushing her toward the light! I need help! Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I'm doing a little "easter basket" for a special guy friend of mine. We flirt a little, but we're not dating, but the gift is also more personal than "just a friend." I'm NOT going to do candy. He likes things that MATTER (surprisingly not into possessions, just likes unique things), and he can buy his own candy. I've bought him a tie (it's cute and him, trust me) and a little novelty, humorous book that is kind of an "in-joke." Beyond that, I'm lost. I'm trying to fill a basket, and I feel like there's some area of gift I'm not reaching yet...

profile: 23-year-old male
not a big drinker
doesn't smoke, etc
virginal
music/arts geek
a little weird
previous gifts: loves the card, tosses candy to the side like a dirty sock.
does not wear jewelry of any sort aside from a watch (its new, can't go there)
emotional, but not openly

IDEAS. HELP!!!

I'm sick of tip jars everywhere. Now, my kids are telling me that other parents tip their kids for doing household chores! Is that true? Are parents doing this? What are we coming to?

I tend to sit in the backdrop and watch things and I have noticed that the usage of Sir and Ma'am has all but disapeared. What ever happened to opening the door for a lady. ladies whatever happend to knowing when to hold you tounge unstead of giving a whole drama story and domianting the whole conversation. I also have seen people who think it is ok to cuss at a woman or a family member it is most deffinantly not ok to do so. No if they do it first it isnt right but come on take the high road..you never know who you will run into again or who else is watching. Sir and Ma'am should be used anytime adressing anyone older than you or anyone the same age respect should be given to younger people as well because they are the future lead by example.

When you ask a question on here, why are there are always the people who tell the answerers that they are not right?
I just read through an argument going on over in the Pets/Dogs section about how good/bad a certain dog breed is.
Remember, everyone has their OPINIONS and that is, basically, what an answer can be sometimes.
Now, if some dummy wants to answer a question about , say , history or math, or something where there is ONE DIFINITIVE ANSWER, then, by all means .... Flame Away!

I was having sex and then I had diarhorria and I crapped all over my wife and in my bed. It was coming out really really fast too.

I was devorced and I got done for a sexual assalt and sent to jail for 6 years.
My mother and father also disowned me.

I then attempted suicide and survived with a broken leg (I jumped off a 4 story flat).

What's you most imbarresing moment?

People are always rude to me, and I think it's because I'm better than them and it makes them angry. Does this make sense? It's not fair that just because I have an amazing wardrobe and am thin and good looking and nice to people that they have to get all angry about it! Right? Like O My God, have some manners!
