delivery people who deliver TV's (even though you get charged for delivery) or cable installers, people who hook up cable networks or telephone/pc networks?
I have been informed that all these people should get tipped. Is this correct? Where does one draw the line.

yesterday at work i went to seat these 3 big men,and we go by rotation and it happend to be this servers turn who had taken tables by other guests or had dirty tables, the table i took them to fit 4 people but the men complained they were squished and wanted to move and pointed to the dirty table that needed to be wiped,so i took them there and told them "i just have to wipe it down" and a sever passing by me saw me doing this and then i saw him talking to the server that was going to be serving on the 3 big men ,later that server confronted me and asked why i had sat her guests in a dirty table and i told her i didn't, and there was more to the story-now i had taken crap from other servers all day and that was the last straw- now i think i know who told and it bugs me b/c the guy that told on me didn't even know the facts and ran his mouth..so i confront him?

someone I know who knows i am in college and has kept up with me the whole way through told me they were proud of me. it was as if they felt they had played some part in this successful endeavor. they have their own children, why don't they tell them this instead of me. it would be closer to home as i am not related to this person. are they expecting any sort of returns in the future?

This guy did and he went out of his way to follow where I was. He provoked hit because he mocked me staring him down for looking at me the wrong way which he was already in the wrong for doing.

Then he followed me around and I apologized but he wasn't mad or anything. He just sat in his car and looked like "what the heck man".

Wasn't him following me crossing the line? Or am I making more out of this than what it is. Does this happen?

It seems like people just wait for everyone else to leave before they relieve themselves. Just curious!

In my office, we are constantly being hit up for money. We have a high staff turnover so there's often a collection for someone's leaving gift, which is fine, and because a huge number of us are aged around 30, there's often a collection for someone's wedding, which is cool too.

However, we've now started doing collections for people's b'day gifts too. I object to this for two reasons - firstly because we're always being asked for money, and secondly because we don't do it for everyone, only for certain people, with no rhyme or reason in terms of selecting which people we do it for. How bad would you feel if you were one of the people who didn't get a gift?

Back in the old days, the CEO used to pay £50 out of his own pocket for b'day gifts. This stopped when the company got too big, but the company still pay for a card and cake. I personally feel that this is enough and there is no need for anything else, unless maybe it is a milestone b'day like a 40th.

What do other ppl do?

I seriously laugh at everything.
You could say "table", and I'll laugh for about 5 minutes non-stop.
I cry from laughter about 15 times a day, no joke.
This makes me feel stupid because when I'm around a group of people and i hear something funny, I end up being the only one laughing. (which makes me weird)

OK, so I've been friends with "Lisa" for 30 years, ever since we were kids. Ever since she moved away contact has been minimal. She always explains it as "I'm so busy with work and volleyball and, and, and..." I try to keep in touch, but all I get is ignored emails, or ignored voicemails.

Last night I got an email from her only asking for me to sponsor her to Walk For The Heart which she'll be doing. I find this incredibly tacky to be out of touch for so long and then ask for money! I know it's a good cause, and she does have heart problems and so does her dad.

What I'm asking is that I want to reply to her saying politely "No thanks, can't afford it right now" but I'd like to phrase something like if you would have stayed in touch more, I probably would have. How do you word that? Or should I just ignore her like she ignores me?

We are planning on renting a car so that we could get around. When my friends mom saw that the car was included she refused to pay that part of it. She said she would noever make her daughter's friend's parents pay for that. My mom is a singal mom and money is a little tight and my friends parents are not divorced. Ok i know when you're in a hurry for work, or tired of being in traffic and just want to get home makes people sortove aggitated i understand that.
Just when I see that a car has had their turning signal on for a good few moments and finally has a chance to get over, begins proceeding into next lane, why do some quickly speed up so the person can't get into the lane.

Whenever i'm at a red light and look to my right and see the car next to be has his blinker on, i'll even start off slow when light turns green so he can get over if traffic is heavy.
I mean so many have missed there exits because of this, when they had there signal on for a good half mile so they weren't exactly waiting till last minute to get over.
I mean why bother having turn signals, only to let people behind you know you're slowing down to turn.
Are we that busy we can't let some one in a lane to get home?
With so many things out there making life easier, can we take time to be considerate?
Ranting sorry

I am a waitress, and it is very competitive. The owner and his son are always saying inappropriate stuff to me and assuming I am doing something with the staff when I am not. If they would go back and see what I was doing they would see I was working. Why do coworkers seem to be so hateful? It is to the point I just want to walk out, and I have only been there a month.
