You should find another place of business where the environment is more professional. Everyone has a right to make their living and to do it with dignity and respect. If the inappropriate stuff they're saying allows you to file sexual harassment charges against them, do it.

Consider it some sort of "hazing" and ignore it. The more you make mention of it, the more they are going to continue to make these comments. With father and son running the business, there is sure to be alot of rules being broken when it comes to a normal employee/employer relationship. Don't quit just yet honey. Something tells me you took this type of job because of the lucrative compensation in tips. However, keep in mind, that if things become truly unbearable another "waitressing" job is probably not too far away.
Wish you luck sweetie on not getting sucked into the drama.

THe owner and son are "feeling you out" and the only way to get to them is to be the best that you can be! Get a big check average. Get your customers to love you. Make friends with the kitchen people (sometimes the hardest ones to crack). In this industry, you must remember that the only way to make money is to make the customer happy and if the customer is happy (which is sometimes another impossibility) the boss should be happy. That being said, sometimes the boss can never be pleased (in any job), so as long as your are making money, don't worry too much about the boss. Go home with your change in your pocket and count it! If you are not making money at this establishment, move on. Been there, done that!

I have been a server for over 10 years and totally know what your saying...think about applying to different hotels in your town, they love servers with experience but some of that family owned bull shite doesn't happen there and you end up making more money and get good benefits. If you want to or have to stay...just keep to your own, work hard, and dont get pulled into the crap there until your able to move on to another job.
p.s any place that has such a bad turnover rate is BAD NEWS, you'll never be able to change their minds or habits there

If you need to keep this job, when these boors make inappropriate comments, simply stop what you are doing, look at them blankly with a slight tilt of the head (now practice this in a mirror at home and try not to laugh) then look puzzled by pulling your eyebrows down and then slowly and deliberately using a matter-of-factly tone say "Now that would warrant sexual harrassment, would it not?" and then raise your eyebrows, and say "humm" (like you are thinking about this) and then walk away with a pleasant smile. This will KILL them!! They will be afraid of what you AREN't saying. HAHAHA This works everytime. Always use this response with different words anytime you need. Then go about your day killing them with respect and kindness. This is a very condesending way to be, but it works. lol

I suggest you continue to work, ignore the ignorant, meanwhile look for another job, once you have secured a new job, then walk out.
I think this place must have a high turnover with staff, or had caught previous staff doing a little hanky-panky in the back at one time, or, want to watch, or, are jealous it isn't them?????
Not a very comfortable situation for you. Dam those bastards (anyone who is a boss or supervisor) who thinks that hiring staff equates with being able to make inappropriate, non-work related comments to them.

Do you've any medical complications/topics? in case you at the prompt are not getting adequate oxygen to all elements of the body this can carry about a pair of your indicators. Have some lab artwork pulled and get a baseline of the position you're at present at and in case you do not experience more beneficial useful than your physician will know what to do from there. desire you start up feeling more beneficial useful!!

Sounds like you need to change your job and work elsewhere where they act more professional. If you are in an environment where people are hateful, jealous, and sexually harassing you, and the management doesn't do a damn thing, then leave.
Trust me, the problems would only get worst. You need to work somewhere where there is structure and policy, and good management to protect you.

You poor thing. You shouldn't have to deal with that, it is harrassment when their assuming you're doing something sexual other than working, just because you're female and in the back where there happens to be male co-workers.
You must be very pretty, it's sad if you're pretty and around guys they assume you're doing them all.
Make a complaint to the hire up or human resources.
You should be allowed to go to work and be respected!

It doesn't matter what business you are in, management cannot make sexual innuendos or jokes! It's called sexual harassment! Since it is a family business, there probably is no HR dept. to complain to. If they are part of a franchise, then you can complain. The next time they say something crazy, find a witness, document what they say, and threaten to sue them! They'll be much quieter then, I promise!!!
