Its called ROAD RAGE...in many states it is now against the law. In Wichita (Kansas) a few years back these people were following women alone either to their homes or to an isolated area if she became lost or scared...then they raped them.
I have stopped doing it...even when I lived in New York (flipping people off). PS...did not take the fish off the back of my car either, lololol.

Flipping someone the bird while driving is crossing the line already.
There's only one situation where flipping someone the bird is appropriate. That's in the express lane at the grocery store when the person behind you asks, "Can you count?" because you were one item over the express lane limit (or two or three - why do they have to put candy at the checkout lane when they know many customers have small kids?) .
The expected response is, "Yes, can you?"

I once flipped a guy off and he just laughed (I used the wrong finger). But it is kind of psycho if they start following you. There's too many armed nuts out there.

YOU crossed the line when you flipped him to start with. That was extremely rude.
I hope you were frightened when he started following you. He could have killed you. Road rage is rampant, these days.
