He comes to my house a lot, and I know he is sick of delivering stuff here. Are you supposed to tip them?

NO daily tip ... I would wait till Xmas then give a nice tip. Do thank him on a daily basis though . Offer him a cold drink . Make sure you come out when you see him pull up .. Don't make him knock or wait for you ... If you are feeling extra great about his service perhaps write a letter to his depot manager about his good service!

PS he gets paid well ( about $50,000) per year to deliver to you.

"Company policy discourages drivers from accepting tips, but they can accept something of nominal value. Tipping guides offer $15 as a guideline, but the amount and choice of gift are up to you."

The above quote falls under the Christmas gift guidelines. Since he delivers to you often, wait until Christmas. You may consider asking him what he likes to drink (bottled water, soda, etc.) and have it on hand for him. You're very thoughtful and considerate.

Well I normally do not do that, only because the UPS driver hardly comes to my place; however, since as you have stated that he does come to your place often, I would tip him or at least give him a christmas card with a small gift to show that you appreciate that he is always making deliveries to your place

My husband is a UPS driver and he normally does not get tips. At Christmas time he does get gifts from some of his customers. Every once and a while someone will give him a tip but it is not expected.

You dont have to tip a ups driver since that is his job and he gets paid, but if you think that he's done a really really great job, so great that you want to get out your wallet and tip him then go ahead rather of thinking yes or no, it would be very irritating

No, I don't think so. It's his job to deliver, no matter how many times to the same address.
If you want to be really nice, think of him at Christmas time and maybe give him a gift certificate.

No but if it's the same guy all the time you could give him some chocolates for Xmas.

Do you know his name? Maybe you could send him a gift on Boxing day(dec. 26th) addressed to their office. Boxing day is traditionally a gift giving day for servants, postman, delivery guys and the likes.
