Mary Claus is acceptable for Claus was not the first of the Santa's "names" anyway. It is Jessica Mary Kringle. Can anyone prove me wrong with literature rather than a opinion of "word of mouth?"

Robot Chicken (love the show) got it wrong with Martha. That is Americanized BS. I see why they used it...it doesn't really matter.

Do you allow shoes to be worn in the house? What do you wear on your feet when you are inside. What do most of your guests wear on thier feet.

I dont allow any religious items in my house such as crosses, yamakahs, hijabs or any other things like that. They have to take it off because my house is officially atheist and i'm not gonna allow all that to be worn on my property

As a Christmas gift I am taking my mother and wife to a very (very) nice restaurant...$150 per person (not including cocktails). Would there be an expectation to tip 15-20% even at those prices?

I've been hearing this a lot. People will say life is to short so they drop any pretense of morals to do a whole host of stupid things: drinking to excess, partying real hard, taking drugs, drag racing, having sex with everyone, stealing, and just not caring how other people feel or what they do to them. I've read answers here to peoples questions that are like this. Someone's advice will be to throw caution to the wind and just do what you want even if that person (the one asking) dosen't know what they really want or need to do.

we would exchange gifts during birthdays and holidays. This person moved away and I continued to send gifts. This person hasn't given me any gifts for over a year, including for my graduation from university and my birthday. Should I stop sending gifts?

I don't want to be a jerk about it, but I feel weird about not giving a gift...I don't want to appear stingy. I do need to say that I feel kind of annoyed that my graduation was acknowledged, at least with a card or something. So how do you gracefull stop mutual gift exchange?

When ever we're in public and the baby gets restless my wife breast feeds him. She does it discretely and if there is no where she can go like a bathroom she'll do it infront of people but she doesn't open up her shirt for the world to see or anything, but still people will be staring and some have even made a rude comments. I really don't get it, it's natural, what's the big problem. I'd like to know your thoughts on the topic?

Here it goes. I am one of those people who responds to e-mails the same day or the next day or as soon as possible. I have several friends who take up to a month or sometimes more to respond to my e-mails. It really gets on my nerves. I understand people have lives and they don't always have time to send e-mails or whatever, but I think this is just plain rude. What do you think about this? What are your views? Sometimes when I do finally get an e-mail from one of these people, I want to wait a month to e-mail them back. Serious answers only. Please be nice.

Is there a nice way to out right ask someone to move? A family member (single, and making 75k or more a year) is living rent free in a house and won't get the hint from his parents that another family needs to use the house (family of four, dealing with a bit of finacial problems/military disability). He is bragging about getting ready to buy a huge tv and surround system (6k-cash) and this other family can't even put food on the table. Parents have hinted to move out and so has family. The guy is trashing the place, and not keeping the long standing tradition of the house, improve, fix, and renew. (The house belonged to the great grandfather who has passed)

Any suggestions as to how to ask this guy to leave without making him mad, and still make him see that he would be helping a family get back on their feet. Without being tacky.
