At our school, a regular lunch is $2.50. It comes with soup, bread, salad or fruit, a drink, and whatever the lunch happens to be that day (or a sub) (all of which are optional to include). And then there are chips and things to buy.

I think your diet sounds very unhealthy, and I think it sounds like you are spending too much money for food. Even if I went out to eat lunch at a restaurant, I wouldn't always spend $10 for lunch. I'm guessing that you are buying all these items from vending machines or a la carte, which might explain why they are so expensive.

If you get the school lunch, you might eat a little healthier and spend less money. When I was in high school (which wasn't that long ago) the lunch cost $1.95. I'm sure the price could be slightly higher now, but not $8 higher.

And, seriously, try eating some vegetables. Did you know that today's teens actually have a shorter expected life span than their parents, because the generation is so unhealthy?

Sheesh! As an adult, I still don't usually get lunches that cost that much! When I was in high school, I received $2 per day (a whopping $10 per week!). I had the option of taking that money at the grocery store when we did our weekly shopping and choosing items there, or purchasing my meals in the cafeteria at school (less than 10 years ago, and prices for a tray were approximately $1.50, still leaving me with .50 cents excess had I wanted a soda with my meal). Health concerns aside, you'll have a hard time continuing this type of food budget when you're living on your own.

10 dollars is fine but you should be eating healthier. 3 donuts-cut that out! Where are the salads and fruit? Or packing isn;t so bad.Too much fat and carbs. Are you saying you need more? I think that is more than enough. I used to take my lunch and some money that I earned and buy something extra.Watch what you eat.

wow thats insane!! i got the exact amount to cover the school lunch which was about $2. that was it for the day. if i wanted something extra it would come out of my own pockets. If you keep eating like that you'll end up becoming extreamly obease and die at a very young age. try limiting yourself. you'll struggle at first but you'll be so much happier in the end.

You are a fukking hog. You don't need to eat all that junk. What do you weigh.. 300 lbs?? If I were your parents I wouldn't give you crap for money if I knew you spent it on that load of junk. It's no wonder we're the fattest country in the world. They should give you three bucks a day and send you with a bottle of water.

$3.00 per day is enough otherwise kids start making stupid choices like doughnuts and french fries everyday... and cookies and chips!! Since you are getting breakfast, maybe $5.00

Make good choices now and you won't have to worry as much in the future about diabetes, obesity, and bad knees! I hope you are exercising like crazy! Good luck in life!!

Enough money to buy a lunch meal and drink and no more. Don't give extra for sweets, buns, cookies, chips or chocolate.

Wow! Keep eating like that and not only will you blow up like a balloon, but you'll wind up with diabetes, blocked arteries and heart problems too. Get some diet counseling from a nutritionist ASAP!
