every other day, someone lets their dog do its dirty work on the SIDEWALK in front of my house. I cant seem to catch them in the act. Pretty annoying really. How do i find out who it is, and whats a good revenge tactic to let them know how sh1tty of a person they really are?(pun intended)

save a weeks worth.
put in their mail slot... with a note, I think you forgot this... I am returning it to it's rightful owner...

its to bad you dont live in my city, everyone picks up their dog poop because there is a 2500 dollar fine for anyone who doesnt..and so its got people pickng up their poop, I dont see a dog being walked without the poopie bag in the owners hand. All I can suggest is getting your neighbor to watch if you can and tell you what time this walker usually comes by, then you can hide in some bushes close to your door and when this man walks by a few days later huck some poop at him..or if you dont want a backlash leave your sprinklers on right near the sidewalk around those times, or just nicely leave a sign on the lawn saying "please dont poop here or legal action will be taken".,

Try putting a camera recorder near the window around the time you think it might be happening~and then report it to the authority's. It's called loitering!

Silverbir said it. I have 2 dogs & I don't walk them for that reason. I have a big backyard, everyone around me does but a few still do that even though a pooper scooper is only 15 bucks

Set up the camera, find out who did it, wait for them to do it again, take the poop, place it on offending dog owners car.....

if possible set up a camera that overlooks the area once you find out who the person is and lives scoop up the poop and leave it on their doorstep.

Put some pepper powder all over your lawn, no dog will go there, and it will teach the owner a lesson, about who's lawn is ok to sniff!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Put out some sign...something 'witty' like "we don't want any of your sh** here" maybe include an arrow.
