It really does not matter. Showing up is the main thing. People will not remember what you wore but will remember if you were there or not.

Black and plain is always best for a funeral. If you have a black button up shirt that will match with your pants, that would be your best bet. If your only black shirt is low cut, and I'm talking any cleavage at all is to low for a funeral, you can put another black or dark colored shirt under it, preferably navy. Try to stay away from white, some people also have a problem with reds and maroons at funerals because it reminds them of blood. Hope this helps.

I agree with Good driver, showing up is the main thing. And with others--black pants and almost any solid colour blouse would do. If anyone wants to look down on you, feck them!
I once had a funeral to attend--that of a Bishop. I wound up at a charity shop, bought one shirt and a pair of dark trousers. No one looked at me as odd or indecent.

If you do not have any black dress you can wear dark color dress such as dark blue, dark brown and you can use a white shirt but covered by dark color sweater. It is better if you do not wear jeweleries and a bright make up if you are going to a funeral.

A nice sweater or blouse. Even a turtleneck would work. You also don't have to wear black. Navy is also a nice choice. Just don't wear anything white or too flashy.

White or Cream and a black cardigan or Blazer.
Burgundy (but not red)
It really does not matter in this day and age unless your family is Amish or hyper religious. I see people in Jeans and a sweater all the time.

A dressy type that covers you, no cleavage, no midriff showing. A white shirt as worn with a suit would be good.

the normal jist of funerals is dark attire. it isn't mandatory but if you can't wear dark then it shouldn't be overbearing....something tasteful in a concervative manner.
you are paying your respects to somebody's loved one who is departed which is the forum to also attain or build other peoples' respect for you.

Conservative all the way around. Muted colors, decent length, appropriate. It's not a fashion show but it should be dressy. Hope this helps and good luck.
