I keep reading answers to questions on this site and alot of folks are just plain mean. Are you this way in real life or only on the internet where you don't have to look people in the eye?

A lady at work lost her daughter to cancer. We sent out an email stating that if people would like to donate money, we were going to provide food to the family. People donated money, and then the other girls in my department decided to just give the money to our coworker. Is that proper, or should they have used the money for what we had specified it was going to be used for? I objected but my coworkers insisted that we help her out by reimbursing money she has already spent. What do you think?

My neighbors upstairs throw lite ciggarates out their window and they land right outside mine. They also throw trash, cups, water. I have never met them, but I need to stop it before a fire happens. They also have two little kids that run at late hours at night while my son is sleeping. I banged on the wall once, but it only stoped for a short while. I know there will be some noise, but the is extreme. What can I do to put a stop to it.

Why is it that when men go to the bathroom for a "number 2" it stinks up the whole room and can be smelled from a distance outside the bathroom (even with the door shut) and the smell lingeres around for some time that nobody wants to go into the room after them, but when women do, it does not smell half as bad and is not unbearable like mens?

Has anyone else noticed?
Is there a scientific explanation to this?

jeans last night and they look so good in the mirror, but I am a little self consious about wearing them out...since I am not usually seen in this type of outfit...I also bought a pack of Marlboro 100 cigarettes to use as a prop...I am not really going to smoke them much..just light them and hold them and take a drag every now and then...for looks...how do I break the ice with everyone that I am not the same debra...I am afraid I will be embarrassed...but I really want to do this...a short tight top is next.

We are used to just making alot of food and have food leftover. This time I dont want anyone to cook therefor we hired a catering company and we need to know exactly how many people will be attending. I dont know what to do. I dont want to be rude, however, i want ot have enough food. Is it wrong to put number of people invited on the invitation or make a cute ticket per person. Everyone is telling me not to worry about that. I dont know what to do? Any suggestions will help. Thank You.

They should do it as soon as we have finished answering. First of all it is rude and even worse when they don't say anything about themselves. Are they waiting for us to ask them in turn?
I don't ask them, so would they feel left out?

And then 2 seats on their own free up, do you move or stay where you are?

If you move, both of you will be more comfortable, but it still feels rude somehow. I find that people tend to stay put in these situations, although everyone thinks about moving...

Why do we do this?!

A second chin perhaps? I would appreciate it if the answer is identified as formal, informal, offensive or innocuous/pleasing. I am looking for an answer that is innocuous/pleasing.

Even though we know some thing is wrong. We could not stop doing that or stop our beloveds from doing some wrong things. Because we love them so much we either could not stop them or just keep our mouth shut.

Is this right to be like that

I am so tired of hearing them have sex every single day. They stay in the room and have sex all day and all night. I turn my tv up to the highest it can go. I try to not think about it. It really does annoy me, and they do this all day everyday. Another thing to consider is we live in a freaking campus apartment. It isn't but so big, and the walls are so thin. I really don't want to report the room because they are so nice, but just so sex addicted aliens or something!!! I don't want to report it because the girl isn't supposed to live here, it is his room. I don't understand!!!! That is another question: how in the world can someone have sex that much? Doesn't it get boring after the tenth time that day?I'm not having a good day...

Just found out close friend (18 yrs old) has gotten girl (18-freshman in college) pregnant. They are getting married tomorrow. Obviously not a good time for marriage or a baby, but there's no talking to them. What do you say to the couple? I want to tell them a million reasons why they've messed up but I know I need to love them and support them too. What should I say? What should I not say? What do you say to his parents? They are devastated. I know this is very common in the world we live in now, but still shameful and disappointing. How do you support them, and love them without them thinking you are condoning their behavior? My husband and I can't pretend nothing's wrong.
