My neighbor and her family will be moving out of state soon due to a job transfer. Even though our daughters play together I am not really that sad to see her go because she calls me at least once a day to repeat the same thing she told me the previous day (forgetting she had told me). It's usually something she is bragging about that she has told me 10 times before. We get along well but she can be lacking in common sense, sending her hyperactive kids down the street to come to my house to play without calling. I will miss her yet part of me won't. Isn't that bad?

My cousin is having a baby shower next weekend. A friend of hers informed us that she is bringing three very young children. The invitation didn't say NOT to bring children, but I thought it was understood that people shouldn't unless they ask first. This woman just announced she'd be bringing kids. How should we handle this? This house isn't equipped for young children, and has a lot of breakable stuff in it. Should the woman be informed not to bring her kids (feels rude, but it could really be a problem at the shower). Or just let it go?

Listen, when you ask a question, you must be open to different answers. No one shares the same opinions as you. Do you think you will only get the answers you seek?

I'm tired of getting reported for being honest. And judging from the only three times I've been reported, most are children who take offense to me telling them to do their own homework. All I do is suggest you do your own research, you can find the answers as fast as I can.

If you can't take the heat, then think about what you ask ahead of time.

Sorry for the rant.

I'm just wondering what is the purpose of answering a question with a rude comment instead of being polite and helpful?

I come from a LARGE family and my husband has a large family too. One thing that stops the flow of unity and harmony and faith in our familes is that people tend to gossip about one another and run at the mouth and when the people that are gossiping have it done to them they get all mad and ticked off.

People in my family both sides have come to me with very personal and cofidential as well as controversial matters that I pray about with God and God alone.

How can I be objective when this gossip is said I am a christian and I dont want to "preach" or act like a "goody two shoes" because I dont gossip when I have had to confront people I speak my mind I dont undermine them. Bad things have been said about me b/c of my weight and in past my manic behavior and it was hurtful but I let it go.

Is there anyway to stop the gossip? Is there anyway to promote goddness and encouragement through this problem? Any answers or suggestions?

Shouldn't there be more free speech on here? It's very limited. One of my friend's was banned and she didn't ask anything wrong, she just asked a question about one of her favorite authors and said that she admired him and she was docked 10 points. What's bad about "chatty" questions like "who likes Brittany Spears?" That's not really all that personal. You can have a question about anal sex, but those personal questions, like "Who agrees with Charles Darwin?" are just too personal....riiight.
Humph!

Hey you all, as stated, I'm a senior in college, 22 years old, and yet "bathroom humor" still cracks me up like it would a third grader. What I mean by bathroom humor is...for instance...when someone takes a poop so big it clogs the toilet, or general fart jokes, and things like that. I always laugh about these things until tears come...it's that funny! I'll give another example - in creative writing class in high schoool, I wrote a story about a businessman, and in one part, THREE pages (I'm not exaggerating) are about him taking a dump at work and clogging the toilet! And yet someone told me all that is more "middle school stuff". So, am I really immature or are there other guys my age or older who still laugh about that kind of stuff?

My sister said they won't appreciate it. I buy presents as well but the younger children don't seem to appreciate the handmade gifts as much as to older kids and adults do. Each ornament take about 8 hours and I design each to suit the person. A few people want me to sell them rather than gift them. To me it's about the child and the love. Am i becoming the crazy aunt everybody avoids.

When I have sold the ornaments in the past they sold for $30 each.
