Listen, when you ask a question, you must be open to different answers. No one shares the same opinions as you. Do you think you will only get the answers you seek?

I'm tired of getting reported for being honest. And judging from the only three times I've been reported, most are children who take offense to me telling them to do their own homework. All I do is suggest you do your own research, you can find the answers as fast as I can.

If you can't take the heat, then think about what you ask ahead of time.

Sorry for the rant.

I always like it when I've pissed them off enough to make them email you personally to "tell you off" that's when you know - that they know you're right! Keep tellin it like it is, sweetie

OH, I know! I'm sick to death of seeing people get beat up for their questions too, not just their responses! Too many times users who are having a bad day jump online just to take it out on other people. If it's a real question and not offensive, then they can either answer the question or shut the h*ll up and not answer. It goes both ways and I do know exactly how you feel !

I'm right there with ya. I'm sick to death of being reported for answering a question with a real, direct answer, and getting reported because it's not what they wanted to hear! If they don't want the truth then they shouldn't ask. I'm also sick of being attacked because I asked a simple question and some moron didn't fully read the question before jumping on their soapbox and passing judgement (and also not answering the question!)
thanks for letting ME rant. HAHA!

Most people don't really want to hear "the" truth when they ask a question, they just to hear "their" truth, that they already have in mind, repeated back to them.
And, a lot of people just want someone else to do the work for them.
Just remember, you can't control how someone is going to respond to the truth, so just keep speaking it (every now and then it actually gets through to them).

Take heart -- I just saw a question posted asking if others think I am a jerk and insulting. By the way... she named ME in the question. Hooray! A new low!

People ask questions for one reason; to get answers. If you honestly can't answer their question and/or just want to rant, "Research it for yourself" then why are you even on Yahoo Answers? People come here for information and to help each other out.

I have learned to state my opinion and move on. If it hurts, then too bad.
