Hi. I just got invited to dinner at someone's home. He is VERY rich. I was brought up that when you are invited to someone's home, you always take something.

So, since this man can probably afford the best wines and other fancy things, what should I take as a gift for my host?

Ok, first you gotta know that my house is divided in two, I live in the bigger part with my mom, the other part which is independant from the house, except for the garage is rented to a guy who´s in his late 20´s and lives alone.

His room and mine are divided by a solid brickwall but last night when I was about to go to bed I heard some weird noises but I wasn´t sure what was it or where was it coming from. Then I discovered
totally terrified that It was this guy having sex with someone (eww) which is gross in itself ´cause he´s disgusting.
Of course I understood it´s normal for a guy of his age to invite his girlfriend over and spend a great time together but the worst part came two minutes later when I took out the garbage and saw a car parked outside, it was his cousin´s car, he was having sex with his own cousin. And on top of it we know their family from a long time.
What do I do, I just don´t want to have to listen to them everytime they do it :-S.

I just wanted to see others comments on how you feel about tipping a waitress or waitor. I myself am a waitress at a chain restuarant and can't help but feel that people are very rude and cheap, its not fair that your only making $2.13 an hour, so your depending on tips and people are being cheap. Everyday I get someone complimenting me on the great service I gave them, but then I go to the table to find they left me two dollars, or even worse when you have a large table and a cheap tip, I mean how hard is it for each person to leave a dollar?

You know, a younger, more attractive wife, like Donald Trump's marriage partner? Would this be morally right or wrong and why?

I have been going to the same salon to get my hair and nails done for the past 7 years! It is owned by a Mother and Daughter. Today when I called to make an appointment, I found out that the mother passed away last week. I would like to send flowers and a condolence card to the daughter. But I am not sure if I should send them to the salon or to the daughters home. I also socialize with the daughter out side of the salon! Which would be the proper place to send them?

Thank You

It will be my child's bday soon and I want everyone minus their dogs to come. My husband's dog gets upset and snappy (he's a big dog) when other dogs come around and our house is just too small for all those people and their dogs. I don't want them dragging in dirt and knocking down my child, either. I KNOW at least one person will be offended. How do I minimize this without getting into long explanations that won't help anyway?

Is it just me, or are you also bothered by the fact that a growing number of people these days put very little effort into typing their questions or answers? I can't count the number of times that I've tried to read a question or answer only to get so frustrated at the number of misspelled words or lack of punctuation that I just give up on reading it all together. Doesn't anyone take pride in their communication skills anymore? I just had to vent, thanks for listening.

I worked for years as a bouncer, one nite this chick came in and as I checked her ID I noticed that she was wearing her dress inside out tags sticking rite out the side about waist high, on of those one piece sweater type skirts. I thought for a second( should I tell her or not?) I decided not to tell her. As she walked past the other bouncer, he says to me: " Hay that chick has her dress inside out you gotta tell her" Told him I wasn't saying anything. So he went and told her.......HOLY.......She got really pissed and left.

I guess my question is: Was I right for not saying anything? or Was he right for telling her? I was trying to save her some embarrassment.

Your at a friends house, haven't seen them for awhile and don't get to see them as often as you'd like too but life takes course, there phone rings, it's a neighbor, they sit and talk for an hour or so just gabbing nothing important. How do you feel about that? What do you do with that time? Do you feel like you've been cast aside for someone that they can talk to anytime?

I think it's an extremely rude question--one I would never ask anyone else but for some reason people have asked me more than once.
I'm in Social work, and I think thats why people ask me--because they know Social work doesn't pay all that great.
Of course, I knew this getting into it and I obviously did not get into it for the money.
I was wondering how other people feel about this. Also, what would be a good thing to say when and if it happens again?

My fiancee is kind of hairy. It bothers me...I love him and I can accept him as is, and I find him attractive, etc, but I would find him even more attractive with a little shaving....How should I tell him I want him to without sounding mean or hurtful? Sometimes he can be a bit insecure of his looks and I do not want to lessen his confidence in any way.
