If he wears a tournament daily what approximately cuff hyperlinks or a tie tack. A Dad and Daughter trip to the ballpark, a hockey sport or consistent with hazard a mini-golf face-off observed by way of lunch. Time mutually having some laughs may be something he'd treasure. be beneficial to have some snapshots taken so which you would be able to keep on with the day up with between the photos framed for his table. You send a bouquet of flowers ahead of time (day before or early on the day of). This is the most appropriate and polite gift to send, from an etiquette perspective. Also, anyone who is entertaining will enjoy having flowers to display in the home when the guests arrive (you are actually adding value).

If he drinks, take him a bottle of whatever liquor he likes. I don't think you should need a gift. Take a dessert, something chocolate is usually a good choice.

Something homemade would be the best thing. It would be something original, and it shows you put some effort into it, instead of just "picking something up".

I had the same situation occur. I found out what his favorite charity was and made a donation in his name. It was a minimal donation and he was thrilled.
