Not breaking the law, but acting proper. Example: Why does a 26 year old(me), have to act like a 26 year old? I own a company and take care of what I have, including my offspring. If one "grows up" then they get old. whats wrong with wanting to stay young?

My husband and my neighbor down the street are both stressing that my Kindergarten son be put on the school bus to and from school. Why? We live 2 miles from the school, I have no problem taking him and I feel 5 years old is too young especially how awquard and forgetful some children are at that age. My neighbor's daughter is 8 and she says she would like my son to ride the bus so her daughter will have someone she knows riding the bus with her. No 3rd grade girl is going to go sit by a Kindergarten boy, well maybe...but still I think I will take him to school for the first couple of years. Call me a protective parent, but I am. So how do I get my husband and my neighbor to stop going on about it?

For the women:

Do you prefer...Ma'am, young lady, dear, miss or hun?

For the men:

Do you prefer...Sir, guy, fella, young man, or son?

Also, how do you feel when you are in mixed company,(i.e. in a restaurant), and they call you (all) guys?

Thanks. Your serious comments on this is appreciated.

Once as a youngster I cleared the area when I put my feet on the back of the chair in front of me and let out a very loud fart. They all moved away. What else would you suggest for those situations when some bonehead sits by you rather that in one of the other 200 empty seats?

children eating as well, but say those kids are being loud, rude, and plain uncivilized and thier parents don't seam to be bothered by it, nor do they try and control thier kids, is it up to the restaurant staff to talk to the parents, or can other customers speak up?

What would you do if you were part of that family trying to eat peacefully?

It would be the funniest thing if there were a culture where walking around and giving someone the middle finger meant "have a nice day" or something.

Our phones are dead this afternoon and the young guy in the cubical across from me fell asleep in his cubical, he's snoring and one of my coworkers put a paper hat on his head, he is still asleep.

Do the bride and grooms rings have to match? Mine has black diamonds with white gold, and my fiance wants titanium with silver inlays. Both are very nice rings and we have already purchased mine. Should I get him the ring he wants, or should his ring be of white gold to match mine

For many years, 15 atleast, the same gardener has been trimming the 10 ft. hedge between mine & my neighbor's house, it's on her property. Many times both my husband and I have asked him to please clean up on our side when he trims. He does not trim our side, he trims hers and then leaves a big mess on our side. We have mentioned it to her and to him, doesn't matter, the mess is always there. Should we just deal with it or what? I am sick of it because when I go out to my side gate, there's the mess, all over my cement walkway. Living with others isn't always easy, is it? What do you think?

My friend is getting married and she is doing a lot. She is having a dinner outing with her friends, a shopping trip, a bridal shower and of course, her wedding. I am invited to all of these but I am only going for the shower and the wedding. Instead of getting one small gift for the shower and one small gift for the wedding, is it okay to combine the two and buy a big gift?

I let a girl stay with me until she gets on her feet. Well, she left last night and took my house key. She didn't tell me or ASK if she could take it. I woke up this morning to get ready for class and she never came back last night. What this means, is that she has my ONLY house key. The spare was given to my roommate who is in the hospital. So, since I couldn't lock my door when I leave, I ended up missing class and a philosophy quiz this morning. I have NO way of getting a hold of this girl, she doesn't have a cell phone or anything. I'm supposed to be getting ready to go work in a few hours and I don't know what to do about locking my apartment. This girl also has shown NO interest in getting a JOB and helping with bills, instead, saying that her sister is going to be sending money. She's been saying this for a week now. Also, she owes ME money that I loaned to her, AND she has money from one of my coworks that he gave to her to pick up something for him, which she hasn't

I used to be friends with this girl. She was fairly quiet and boring. When we left school this year we lost touch and now she's sending me nasty messages on MySpace like "to know what exactly i have done to you. why wont you accept my friend request and why are you being all funny with people. its good to know how much friendship is valued by some people. am i right in thinking that it was always a waste of time being your friend? or are you gonna actually start showing some respect for the people who stuck by you through school. " I didn't see her sticking by me. She just sat there. And now I don't know whether to take the high road and ignore her (as I have been) or just send her an unpleasant comment back. There's no way of reconciling the friendship as they've done hurtful things to my close friends. Advice appriciated.
