Get your guy the ring he wants! I know a lot of people want matching rings, but usually the guy goes along with what the girl wants. If he really likes it, at least you'll be sure he'll wear it all the time.

Promise jewelry are no longer comparable to engagement jewelry. A promise ring is a ring promising to stay actual to one yet another. there continues to be no promise of marrying with a promise ring. An engagement ring is a ring that symbolized that the two human beings comply with get married and plan a marriage in the close to destiny

No they do not have to match. That is a fairly recent phenomena (last 20-30 years). My husband's and mine do not, nor did my parents. Actually -- nobody in my extended family has matching rings come to think of it and that's quite a fair few!

of course the rings don't have to match!
most people simply cant afford a whole wedding set and many people are very very particular about the type of jewelry they are willing to were. and i feel that if one gets to pick the ring they will be wering it seems to carry a little more importance rather than bragging rights " It's part of a set!"
i speak from experience i have gone from low budget when i got married to a VERY EXPENSIVE three pice set even thought we never planned to marry due to social security law.

ALWAYS get the ring you want. You have to wear it for a lifetime and if you don't like it, you won't be happy at all. No, they don't have to match.

Traditionally yes it would matter to tell others that you 2 are married to each other, but nowadays it don't make a difference as long as they look alike somewhat

They don't need to match. What's important is what they represent, not what they look like or whether they are a macthed set.
