There's no store policy against it, but it's not required either.

Ah, also forgot to mention, I'm already paying a fee of $9.95 for the delivery.
I know, I know, why not just go to the store. It's just more convenient for me this way this week.

You could try, but I bet the store has a policy against drivers accepting tips. The only exception I know of might be a Christmas tip if you have a regular delivery guy.

Yes, with the price of gas these days. I would take into consideration the mileage from the store who provides you the groceries. This person probably gets an hourly rate of pay, but is also probably the minimum. Do you tip a Pizza delivery person if you get it delivered? Well, I don't always give the driver 15-20%, but at the very least they get 10%. It depends on the pizza place I get it from. If it is the one in the neighborhood, about 10-15%. But from the place further down the road, I usually tip more. Bagging or boxing the groceries correctly is a big plus. If this delivery person takes good care to pack things well for you, (not throw the bread in with the milk, for instance) then they deserve a tip. If they show consideration they should get extra points.

Yes. The store usually doesn't pay much more than minimum wages and the delivery person is usually using his own vehicle. The usual tip is 10% of the total bill. Tipping does three things:
A. Ensures you are going to be the first to get your groceries when there is more than one customer to deliver to.
B. Keeps people wanting this position so that the service can be offered by the store
C. Encourages the delivery person to go above and beyond just delivering the bags and heading out the door.
In all things, treat others as you would want to be treated.

No concerns. No tip is mandatory and must be seen as insulting or against organization coverage. it may be the comparable as tipping somebody working at a food market for helping you place your groceries on your vehicle. This guy or woman is employed to transport your groceries--no distinctive than a united statesdelivery guy or woman. Now, if this guy or woman provides you your groceries for an prolonged quantity of time (comparable guy or woman) and relationship is progressed, then you definately ought to grant him/her a holiday present, mutually with a small field of candy or card with heart-felt notice. this can be the comparable for a united statesdelivery guy or woman who provides you products to you on a weekly foundation for a 300 and sixty 5 days. Please verify with organization coverage first nevertheless.

First, where do you live? I didn't know there were stores still around that delivered. You are so lucky. Anyway, yes you should tip and the mim. should be 5.00. If it's the same person all the time and he's does a good job then give him more.

Give at least $5 no matter how much grocery you are getting. Think about how convenient this service is for you.

Our delivery guy (when we still did this) told us that $1 per bag/box was sufficient due to the delivery charge.
