I know that ideally it would be good to buy from these ethical clothing companies but I really can't afford to. So is it better to buy from the cheap companies who employ workers and pay them rubbish money so at least they have work, or just buy from local places?

I am not asking this question to be fascetious or belittling; I just want to know why everytime I take a whiff of a Muslim, I feel like barfing. It is an odd mixture of spices, body odor, and something that is straight-up funky. I know the spices in their food are pungent, but this should not justify their odors (my heritage has pungent spices too but I keep it in the kitchen). I especially smell this stench on muslim women from Africa. What is the deal?

I want to tell some people on a few online forums (no, not Yahoo!Answers, they're other forums) as well as some real-life people it's my birthday today. They don't know it, so how do I announce it without seeming rude or asking for a present?

In the U.S., most people tend to keep right on a crowded sidewalk. Thus they mimic the rule of car traffic by keeping right. In other countries, such as China, people stay to the side where they will turn next, even if it is five blocks before they will turn, thus creating a chaotic pushing mosh pit of humanity. Do you think there is proper etiquette to walking on a crowded sidewalk to make for smoother flow?

I know people that use so much profanity that they exclude using substantial, or even coherent, language altogether. Do you think there should be a limit to using expletives? Is it "cool"? Is it okay for some people to do it? Where was the most inappropriate place in which you heard someone curse?

I'd never head of this until sometime last spring. And before that, only in movies/TV that depicted 'slavery' times. The difference being that the persons in captivity were addressing the Caucasian females as "Miss" then their first name, or the Caucasian males as "Master." Why is this resurgent? What happened to Sir, Ma'am, Mr., Mrs., Ms. and then a LAST NAME? Or if the situation allows it, a first name?

I always feel like I'm a clumsy, bumbling giant. I am a tall girl, but I would like to be more feminine in the ways I walk, sit, move, etc. I go to a school, and I envy the other girls, because they are all really articulate, poised, and self-confident. They do everything in a feminine, yet confident way. And I feel like a schlump. How can I develop that natural gracefulness? When I'm "being myself", I feel like I look and move too sloppy. Taking dance classes won't happen, because my time is really quite limited (I'm lucky to even have this evening free tonight!) How can I put cross a better image?

Ok here is the deal, my girlfriend (1 year) has really pretty feet but will not paint her toenails saying that she prefers the "natural" look. I've told her that its a huge turn on for me, but still no luck. Anyway...this week we have a hypnotist coming to our school and he is a sort of friend. My girlfriend wants to volunteer and I guess I'm asking two things 1. Would it be possible for him to leave a post hypnotic suggestion that she will like painting her toenails? Would it work? 2. Should I get him to do it. Thanks!

I've owned several fords in my lifetime and they used to be a good vehicle and a good company. Now they choose to target gay families or people with "modern day values", fund homosexual agenda, sponsor homosexual events, marches, and parades, and push homosexual marriage. In other words, Ford is willing to sacrifice its employess and its once loyal patrons for a mute minority of individuals. Many believe its a christian based boycott but fact is its a boycott to try and uphold real family values and morally respectful beliefs. I encourage everybody I know to just sign the boycott and try to put Ford in their place. Gm company is a superior patron in equality unlike ford who pushes their 'modern values' on you whether you like it or not. Gm is not without flaws, no company is. Everybody has to abide by discrimination laws though it is discriminating to yourself just to be around homosexuals. Maybe somone will buy ford and change it around for the better, who knows. The hedge in their back yard has grown to nearly 10 feet tall and it is blocking our view through all the yards down the street. Couldn't that be considered an eyesore? If I am able to sue them, what kind of damages could I ask for? We do have some wire fencing up near their hedge. Only honest answers please. Thanks.

What do you think of doing this for a Christmas gift? Giving a donation to a charitable organization on behalf of the recipient of the gift. The person I would be getting it for basically has everything....so I just don't know what to get for them and they are very well to do? Or, other gift ideas please?

My boss is male and is naturally flirtatious (I think). He started out by hanging out just a little longer each time at my desk, then went to putting his hand on my back to help me out of a chair, now hugs! I think it is far enough but I don't want to sue the guy or anything because I like my job. How do you nicely tell someone to back up a bit? The guy is very attractive, I'll admit, but he is also married and I know I would not want my husband hugging other women he works with.

She says that nothing beats actually picking out a real present for someone. The trouble is, what if this person is someone who has everything and you don't know what they would want or need? I say in that case a giftcard would be fine. Mom says tacky tacky tacky. (I'm speaking of Christmas presents in case you want to know). We've got 23 people to buy for and the budget is tight this year so I think gift cards are ok for adults. The kids we would get toys for. Whatcha think about it?

Specifically, if the wife goes by her maiden name, is she addressed as Mrs. *maiden name*?

How would that look in a letter?
