Happy Birthday buddy, did you get the card I sent it Monday. Have a great day, heavens knows you deserve it after everything you've been through in the last 12 months. I'll take you out for a drink tonight if you fancy it. Let me know.

If you're at work, during break, casually bring up what your co-workers are doing after work. When they ask YOU, you say "I'm goin' out for dinner...it's my birthday!" or "I'm not sure what to make for dinner...it's my birthday!"
Just some off the wall comment.
And happy birthday!

Just say hey it's my birthday. Your friends and family know, they are the ones that will give you the party and gifts. There's nothing rude about telling people something they don't know.OH HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you. And Many More................................ You could just say in general conversation it's my birthday and I would like to a few people over for some refreshments to help me celebrate would you like to come? And just take it as it comes. It's not rude to want people and friends to know it's your birthday. Have a fun filled day and enjoy.......................

I have never heard an adult 'announce' their birthday.
I'm not trying to be rude but if they're not close enough to you to know when your birthday is the truth is that they probably don't care anyway.

Act overly happy or excited and when they ask whats wrong with you you can tell them its just my b-day and I am happy. Or wear a shirt or a pin that says it your day. For those online you could find a cute pic that says it my birthday and send it to everyone.

for the people online u can ask them when there birthday is, then they will ask u and when u tell them the date they'll know.
for real people like your co-workers, send yourself some happy birthday balloons to b delivered at your work and then they will know.

If you don't want a present, why do you want to announce it? If you want to celebrate it, when why don't you invite a few people out and buy them a drink, or ice cream. Give, rather than receive.
