Yes, and I expect the same in return. I feel if you respect me you will be honest and tell me the truth. and yes sometimes the truth hurts. however, if you lie to me, the truth always comes out, and i would be hurt to find out you lied to me and feel as though you do not respect me. And that would feel even worse. Good luck and God bless

There is a difference between honesty and just plain lack of tact. I would not bother with anyone I was not close to - why would I - it is not my business and it does not affect me. Also what I think is an honest opinion, is just an opinion and may not hold true for the other person. I don't feel the need to lie about anything, if I think my answer would be hurtful I can choose to say nothing.

Have you considered situations where they might appreciate your honesty and when they might not?
When people ask you for an opinion, then be completely honest. However, if nobody asks you for an opinions, please keep all negative comments to yourself. Even if you do mean to comment positively, some sensitive people might still take it the wrong way. Therefore, you should be completely honest(to yourself), but keep your mouth shut. That way, it will never hurt others.

How could we be completely honest? Should I tell my morbidly obese friend that her rolls gross me out a little? Should I tell my son how dumb he is when he throws rocks straight up in the air & even tho they land on his very OWN head, he still throws up another one? Or what about smelly people? There is a curb to honesty, & that is "If u can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." I'd rather not hurt anyone, unless they deliberately hurt me, then the gloves are off, and the honesty comes out.:o]

If I like the person, I am completely honest with them. I don't lie to the people I don't like, I just don't bother getting into that much detail with them in the first place.

I am so honest that it is causing problems in my relationship. Because she says i am not just a friend. and she needs me to be her friend before we can have a relationshipBut i get into trouble even to the point i do not believe in lying to protect. i prefer the truth... Even if it hurts.

Tell people what you feel, if they dont like it then they should change what you dont like, or they should just blow it off. If the person you tell is really your freind, then they wont feel hurt, they will take what yu say to heart. If they arent your freind they will be offended. My freinds know im honest and they respect that, and i expect them to be honest with me, I expect to get yelled at when i **** up, and they expect the same

There is a difference between being honest and rude. Maturity will show you the difference. Also dependent upon situations.

If it's going to hurt someone needlessly then no I'm not completely honest.
I'm only 100% honest if what I have to tell them is to protect them from harm.
