its not the matter who ask's for dinner becoz we both wanna do it sumtimes (we cant now due to geographical condition)
the prob is economical differences between us. he might take me to fabs restaurant n i myself dont want him to pay for me, n i might push him to let me pay for the dinner.

but how about the other day?

hmm...

is it polite to insist to pay the check?
is it polite to say infront tht "we'll go dutch?"
is it better if i let him pay for us both, or to insist tht i'll pay my own expanses?
what d ya think?

was on a public bus home the other day and it was full of school kids. The kids were all shouting/swearing and when the bus stopped to pick up an elderly passenger not one child offered their seat.My own kids would not behave in this way as I've brought them up as I was told to behave.

Why do some people answer these questions in a rude, condesceding way when all people ask for is a little real advice? I know that from this question I will get some rude, inappropriate answers anyway.

Today faking a smile is becoming increasingly important especially in customer service. I work in customer service & I find it quite hard especially if I've had a bad day.
How do you master it? What are some of the methods that have worked for you?

Seriously, that is damn rude to do that especially since I try to go to bed so I can work the next morning.
Tonight some telemarketer called me and he sounded like he was from india. I told him I had to go to bed now to wake up at 5 AM. Since he woke me up I can't sleep. What the hell were they thinking calling people so late?

i'm in highschool and i'm quite attractive- i almost always have a bf and even if i don't i have quite a number of guys asking me out on dates. i am talkative but not loud. i get along with boys especially because i talk about things related to them as well. however, since of late, i realised that i get very upset if i see another girl who can come up to my standards- and that leads me to think that i might be an attention-seeker!! can anyone give me suggestions on how to prevent myself from becoming attention-seeker, because its not a good road to go down.
thank you in advance!

I say zero for 0 and don't get when people say O for zero O is a letter 0 is a number - Im in customer service I take orders, when someone says O for 0 what am I to think? Phones still have the alphabet on it, zip codes never had letters in them (at least here in the US) and now that we are all text messaging each other, isn't it time we start saying what we mean? Zero is 0 and O is O!

at a fast food place to an expensive restaurant, how would you react if any employee gave you bad service or was very rude to you? Please include details....i don't want answers like "i'd be annoyed," i'm wondering how many would say something or even fight it. Also, include why you would do this and what you would wish to accomplish with it. If that would just be a natural reaction and u don't think you would accomplish anything, please includue that.

Everyone at work has been asking if we have set a date yet. Unfortunately, we won't be able to invite everyone from work. How do I handle the questions, once a date has been set, w/out hurting people's feelings?

I find that I'm very put off by people that ask the opinion of others, but demand that "only men" or "only white people" can answer. If you choose who answers, you might as well just not ask. If only one certain group's opinion matters isn't the person being sexist or racist? Maybe I'm just grumpy? Let me know what you think.

For instance, if I pull my car up to a place where there is a sign that says, "No parking." Why do I think that think that this sign is not meant for me, but rather that it is for other people? And if your teacher tells you that your research paper must have a cover page and I don't have one on my paper, why do I think I should not be penalized when I have obviously not followed the rules?

occupational therapist, speech therapist, developmental therapist, and physical therapist? My son is aging out of the program that these people work with him in. I want to thank them for working with us the past two years, but what is the right gift? I can only spend about $30 max per person, and suggestions would help.

I was 14 years old, the age when a "spontaneous erection" is most likely to happen. I had one of those while sitting in my 9th grade English class. I'm sitting there thinking, "Thank god I am sitting down so no on can see this". Just then the teacher calls on me to go to the chalkboard and diagram a sentence. I am mortified, because I know that as soon as I stand up, the "projection" will be obvious to everyone. But, I see my way out! In the front of the classroom is one of those large maps, on a stand. If I can just get to that, hide behind it, and "rearrange" myself, everything will be all right. I do that and am busily tucking it in and rearranging it so no one will notice, when I hear laughter from the class. Only then did I realize that the map hung only down to about my belt line and that the entire class could see me "fixing" myself. I did not want to come out from behind that map.
