Here is the situation. I am a brown noser, I have my nose so far up my boss’s *** it is hard to tell where he ends and I begin. I steal ideas from my coworkers and take credit for them. I leak personal information about them around the office so it gets back to the boss. I jockey for any position that will move me up the ladder at the expense of my co workers and because of my efforts I am the top paid employee, about six figures. But the redeeming factor here is that when Christmas comes around we do a secret Santa. Since I make so much more money I give a descent gift.

If you're at a urinal or at the sink washing your hands, and you let out a loud fart, do you make any effort to excuse yourself, or since you're in the bathroom, is it just taken as excused?

And not just that "I forgot to put on deoderant today" stink. That "I never put on deoderant" stink. Now if you tell someone they stink in front of everyone, they are embarrased, but goddammit they all know that this person stinks. Everyone that this person has ever walked past, or been in the same room with knows. The person that stinks knows. So which is worse?

Just curious how to handle it. Some children are new friends from school and I wouldn't expect them to bring a gift at all.

I recently went to a wedding, and was told that it's bad etiquette to bring the wedding gift to the wedding/reception, and that instead they are to be sent to the couple for when they get back from their honeymoon. However, at the wedding, I saw lots of presents, and a table that seemed to be "the present table." The wedding was about 2 weeks ago, and I know the couple didn't go on a honeymoon because they had to work, so how would I go about giving them a wedding gift? Is it too late, or can I still send them one?

in front of his parents...I feel like he is an image consultant...I am a professional female, but because of my sleek figure, I wear a lot of extremely form-fitting clothes (tight) all the time..to work it is tight suits...and for play it is tight jeans, tight sweats etc...he refuses to allow me to wear ANY of these outfits in front of his parents...he went so far as to buy me some outfits to wear when we visit them....and he absolutely forbids me to smoke or even let them know I smoke when I am around them...He will not even let me carry my cigarettes in my purse when we are with his parents because he is afraid I will be tempted..All of this is driving me crazy..I do not feel comfortable in the clothes he bought me, and i go crazy without a smoke for long periods of time...The tight outfits and Marlboro Lights are me...and without them I am lost..I do not want to change my outfits or stop smoking..what should I do...he feels the tight outfits and cigarettes will send the wrong messag

To some people it's hard to say "no" to others, although they really want to. Maybe it's because they are nice or polite, but do you think it's possible for people to stay in touch with a person whom they're not into or they don't really like. Would you do it for the sake of kindness or politeness? Why or why not? I probably would do it for a while, but if it grew too stressful, I'd stop the correspondences. I'm interested in how people feel about this kind of situation, so please share with me your inputs. Thanks a lot.
