Why do some people answer these questions in a rude, condesceding way when all people ask for is a little real advice? I know that from this question I will get some rude, inappropriate answers anyway.

I think that some reasons people answer rudely include: the anonymous nature of this forum, youth, point-seeking (will answer anything for the points), and general disrespect for others feelings. I am with you that sometimes it is just best to by-pass a question you have no knowledge of or cannot answer with some type of decorum.

Some people are just out there to fool around and are not really interested in helping people. No rude answer here

i generally give rude answers to rude questions. other than that i try and answer politely and honestly. i think some people just dont have any answers worth giving and they know it so they just type any awful thing for the 2 points.

I always say the only dumb question is the one you are afraid to ask,if you do not ask how can you learn....Unfortunally not every one thinks this way.Every one has different experience and levels of knowledge in all things...it is a shame that some people who come into this forum are not here to assist anyone but only here to belittle others. It is sad but some people are just not nice...

Some people are just naturally rude . However if you end your question with ... Serious answers only ! they mostly respect that . Have fun and ignore what you don't like !

Have you noticed that some questions do get serious answers or admission of ignorance. Others are opinions - like this one of yours. Framed in this manner, you are going to get all manner of opinions: some favourable and others not as favourable. Again if you note carefully, you will notice a "distribution". Take in what you want to suit your bruised ego and discard the rest.

Sorry. I cannot tell. But if they are really answering
too brute, You have to report.... I --- for myself --- try to
answer always correct. But sometimes I get nuts about
a silly question too ---- but I never get rude. When one
question is not "exactly my type" I try to ignore it. Amen.

But it is just a game for intelligent people ...

Enjoy. Hope see You again.

I know exactly what you mean. All I've done too is ask a question and get all these rude answers in response.

There is a "report abuse" spot that you can click... Harrassment, etc.

I would suspect that the main reason is: Ignorance should be answered with ignorance! What's your thoughs? Just read some of the questions posted! I knew ignorance existed but not in such mass proportions!

I think that they have something to prove, AND they're looking to build up points.

It's like the people who answer a question with "I don't know" and don't give any further hints or suggestions. Whooo--you really worked hard for those two points, pal!
