Christians, do you realise that we need to continue to condescend to the atheists and evolutionists to continue the use of the names of the seven-day week, as Monday, Tuesday..... etc despite being named after pagan gods?

If we had used Biblical terms, like first day of the week, third day of the week . . .they would all be too confused in their simplicity? Anyway, as long as they continue to submit to the use of our Creator's planned seven-day week, are we Christians going to complain???

I find it accetable to say no to God/Religion, it's your own will. However, is there ANYTHING wrong with the teachings of morality and ethics? Many religions teach quite productive and meaningful ways ofliving life, contrary to the ol'American capitalism consumer mentallity, smoking, drinking, drugs, promiscuous sex, and that stuff.

I mean, if you REALLY think that teaching people to be nice and smile and love is bad, and that smoking/drinking/promiscuous sex is good, then,

honestly,

you're a self-pleasuring, life's too short and ya die, Ahole, who's only leading to the downward spiral of humanity.

Yeah, sounds harsh but I mean, how's getting high, having sex, and not caring about anything a GOOD thing for humanity OR yourself? There are many of u that do this.

See, I don't have a problem with unbelievers, at all, but, for the love of god,

why do people not care anymore about morals, ethics, behavior, etc?

Personally, I think it's b/c some ppl are evil inside.

What Moses crossed in the Hebrew text was the Yom Suph, which got mistakenly translated in the Bible as "the Red Sea." In fact it means the Sea of Reeds, a swampy marshy piece of land near the present day Suez Canal. It is of interest to note that if Moses had actually crossed the Red Sea, he went hundreds of miles out of his way and the Israelites would have had to average five-minute miles to have gotten through that body of water in the time the Book of Exodus says it took for its navigation.

In the Bible it says that being homosexual is not a good thing. RIGHT under that passage it says that we must not judge or condemen, that is God's job. I believe that God is merciful, loving, compassionate, and forgiving, and this God would not damn souls to eternal suffering for being who they are. God created everyone, correct? Everything about us is from God, yes? So he must have created homosexuality in people! Know that not everything in the Bible is to be taken literally. That passage speaking of homosexuality could be an old world belief. Back in the day people were dying left and right due to disease and other ailements. Being gay would not help humans repopulate, hence the said passage. I don't think being gay is encouraged, but if that's who you are, why fight it?
There is a difference in spreading the Word, and damning souls to hell. People are not going to be ready to convert to God when the self-proclaimed followers are being extremely cruel and uncompassionate.

We have the Prairie Home Companion, and it is great fun, but it's more of a variety show. The only radio theater I've heard are re-runs of the old, old shows. Not to say they can't be fun, but I'd like to have some new ones. Maybe a couple of hours on a Sunday evening. Different styles...Comedy, drama. Sci-fi...

Do you really think that if someone is not a christian they will go to hell? What if they are the kindest, most generous, all around good person, but they are Buddhist? And do you think that you can repeat the same wrong over and over as long as you repent? Sorry if I'm being stereo-type...

Roman Catholic declarations regarding the change from Sabbath to Sunday:

Catechism of the council of trent for parish priests, translated by McHugh and Callan; 1937,P.402:

"But the Church of God has thought it well to transfer the celebration and observance of the Sabbath to Sunday."

The Convert's Cathechism of Catholic Doctrine, by Peter Geiermann,1910, page 50.

Question: Which is the Sabbath day?
Answer: Saturday is the Sabbath day.
Question: Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?
Answer: We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church, in the Council of Laodicea(A.D. 336), transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday.

Those who embrace Sunday as the Sabbath or Lord's day are paying homage to Rome, and to the power which enforces the institution ordained by Rome. God instituted the 7th day Sabbath(Saturday) at Creation(Genesis 2:1-3).

The Holy Bible is our only safeguide not mis-guided powerful men in our history. (Sabbath test)
