did He really prohibit other people to address anyone "father", or do you think it has a deeper meaning other than prohibiting the word "father" to be used in reference to a human being?

how about calling your biological father "father", did you go against Christ's teachings because of that?

is that how petty you view your Christ?

I heard dont say Mosque because (from what I remember) in history some crazy king guy used it as a deregatory term to say that he would swat the Muslims out like mosquitos. So just say Masjid, if anything =) *peace*

So I've never waitressed with food before, I've cocktailed at bars but only drinks. I just got a job at a family owned and operated Italian restaurant (it's middle of the road; not cheap but not a suit-and-tie place).

This as my second night and I almost wanted to quit. I was trained by one girl last night and another guy tonight--they both were telling me different ways to do things, not really showing me the procedure for things (it was busy so they were basically doing everything on their own without teaching me, but it's ALWAYS busy....so uh...when will I learn???)
Also, the owner is the bartender and if I have a drink order it takes her at least 20 minutes (unless she forgets completely) because she's talking with her friends or on the phone, so the customers end up frustrated.

I'm a very organized and detail oriented person and don't like disappointing people, especially people who are paying a lot of money to have a special dinner with their bf/gf.

The following is from a question I asked last week.
============================
I've seen everything from Buddhism to fossils attributed to Satan. Satan's domains, I take it, are skepticism, pleasure, and anarchy.

God, on the other hand, is supposed to be the creator of the universe. His domains are blind faith, asceticism, and servitude.
============================

One answerer claimed that this was inaccurate; that my portrayal of God as the God of faith, humility, and servitude was an incorrect one, intentionally created by a patriarchal society in order to benefit the elite and subvert the common man. My gut reaction is that this doesn't follow most interpretations of the Bible, but maybe I'm wrong.

In your eyes, does God endorse skepticism, pleasure, and freedom? Or does he demand servitude, faith, and self-denial of earthly pleasure?

Are you a workaholic, or do you have a balanced view of work and rest? Isn't balancing work with spiritual activities and recreation what brings satisfaction?

"Better is a handful of rest than a double handful of hard work and striving after the wind." (Ecclesiastes 4:6)

I get see that in a lot of people. They think that a person is being angry, when they are merely displaying passionate adherence to they are saying.

So when someone is being passionate about what they are saying, other people resign it to a 'rant'. When it is just something that is felt strongly about.

Just who really is being hard headed when this happens? The speaker or the listener?

i mean
i'm catholic and i'm just as nice as the protestant or muslim next to me
yet i wonder
why are we so misjudge?
we were the first to compile the bible for protestants and orthodox and other churches
we also give money to synogogues and temples and mosques so they can survive
and why is the pope so judged?
john paul 2 was the most peaceful man i have ever heard or seen
i understand not all popes are nice, but think of it this way, not all other religions are nice either
we should remember all other religions are offshoots of catholocism
after all we are the first christian religion and the most heavily populated in all sects
we're just not as bad as you think

---Please take the time to read this, or just don't answer at all.

How can some people call themselves Christians when they are so rude and close-minded toward others?

They aren't Christian... they're just ignorant! Some of the responses on my last question were nice... thanks nice people... but some, by Christians off all people, are giving me answers full of spite!
You people are SUPPOSED to be the best, the only one. I'll tell you what some of you are... LIARS AND FAKES. Sorry to you nice Christians out there, but you know... if one apple is rotten the rest are spoiled too.

~AND I BET SINCE THEY PUT SUCH A RUDE RESPONSE THEY'RE GOING TO HAVE TO REPENT FOR THAT TOO.

~Click on my avatar and read some of the responses to my most recent question! ---About religion...

~Thanks
