do humans have wisdom teeth and appendixes? Seems kinda pointless to put those things in your creation and they be 100% pointless.

and my damn wisdom teeth are killing me!

you should probably have them taken out and don't blame God with it.......

People probably needed them before......and as far as appendix go, it is not that we do not need them, we can just live without them....it is the same with a gallbladder....your body works with it, but you can live without it.....
So just because your wisdom teeth are hurting you......does not mean that God is not intelligent.....and because you are putting Him down....they will probably start hurting YOU WORSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my friend.....

From what I have read, the appendix may have had a specific purpose for very early man; however, recently I read where scientists now believe that the appendix may be an aid in suppressing infection or possibly act as a repository for infection. If this is so, you could assume that an inflamed appendix may be the result of the collection of infection within the body. No one knows for sure.

It's also suspected that wisdom teeth are a leftover from ancient man, but the reason for the necessity remains a mystery. Have your wisdom teeth come through? It sounds like you are "teething." Lots of things can go wrong with wisdom teeth eruption. A dentist would be able to tell you what's going on.

Anyway, If you think about it, God has presented us with all kinds of mysteries. For example, a fertilized egg develops into a new baby, yet this process is both a miracle and a mystery. Why does hair turn gray? Why do we regrow fingernails and toe nails if we lose them, but we only get one set of permanent teeth? I think we are not meant to understand everything. God must have a sense of humor, huh??

Just because modern science doesn't know what something is for doesn't make it useless. Besides, new evidence shows that your appendix is a helpful but not essential immune organ (like your tonsils). Wisdom teeth made a lot of sense back before we had dentists and toothbrushes. Another example is the so-called "junk DNA" which is turning out to effect the expression of the other DNA, or the "gill slits" on human embryos which actually become vital organs.

this happens if you mix up different worldviews, you either look at it through one eye or the other, dont mix them up or else neither will really work.

in this sense you have to think about the concept that mankind is actually getting worse rather than getting better.

getting smaller rather than getting bigger.

if you get the grasp of that, you can understand the wisdom teeth.

as for the appendix.. people have been using the term vestigial jumping back and forth and really making the confusion bigger.

some will say vestigial is useless, others will say vestigial means it used to have a purpose.

so some think vestigial is one step to evolution
some say vestigial is a step up to throwing out useless stuff.

if you look at it with the concept of man getting worse rather than getting better, you can see that man is losing its ability to utilize some things.

if you look at the concept that mankind is not using 100% of the brain. some will argue that mankind does use 100% of the brain,, but anyway thats where you decide for yourself and study a bit more.

anyway the appendix is not useless, there are some that say the appendix is part of the immune system.
you may have to read up on it yourself.
you can always use yahoo search before asking a question.

Are you for real? Talk to a proper scientist (with a noble proze or suttin) and believe me, nothing in our body is useless. In the past, people used to think pubic hair and eyelashes were useless, but it is in fact very useful i helping remove dust and whatnot. And if you do believe that we're not intelligently designed, why can't humans, who have reached the moon and further, who made sattelites which orbit the earth, who made it possible to circle the world in much less than a week, make a copy of the human (or any animal) body, be it non-living? the HUman body is way too complicated, scientists haven't even finished studying it yet. Anyways, you shouln't single out a couple of organs in such a complex body. And to the guy who said two men might be able to have babies, get real, mon ami.

The appendix was recently researched by scientists and found to have a use. It is believed to store the good bacteria for our intestines, so that when we wipe out the natural flora we have a place to reproduce it.

There are many things God has done that we haven't figured out as humans. Don't underestimate His wisdom.

It was recently discovered that appendixes are not useless. They are a storing house for good bacteria. Because of our good hygiene and eating habits they lie dormant in most people, but they still do function in people in third world countries. Also they most likely functioned in everyone up until the last few hundred years. If evolution were true why would we still have these "useless things" in our body? Would they not have evolved away if they have no function? Actually those are arguments in favor of intelligent design, not against.

you cant really tell, who knows that someday someone discovers that wisdom teeth and appendices are the two most important parts of the human body... but i think i heard in the discovery channel that we're not totally evolved creatures and that theyre just remnants of our primitive past. and i think if we're really perfect then we shouldnt get sick or get hurt, or die, or that there would be no abnormal births, no ugly people daradatatatata.....

Wisdom teeth have a purpose.

And if you think that the appendix is a vestigal organ and not part of the immune system, we can take yours out if you like.

A biology class wouldn't hurt you one bit!
