you can start with getting a concordance and studying a little bit about the jewish culture..
in short ever wonder why they all call abraham father even if they are already the great great great great great great great grandchild of abraham, why dont they even change it to grandpa?
thats where you can start with looking for the answers.
but anyway, study the term father used in that verse and the term father used everywhere else.. you might end up being suprized at the differences between those.
goes along with getting the honorary title of being a patriarch.
anyways grace and peace.

No. - in case you particularly examine the BIBLE you would be LEAD by utilising the HOLY SPIRIT to certainty and understanding and archives that it extremely is certainty - he's GOD...in case you ASK GOD to instruct you. GENESIS a million:26 Then GOD reported enable us to make guy in OUR image, in accordance to OUR likenesss; enable them to have DOMINION over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over livestock over all the earth and each creeping ingredient that creeps on earth." JOHN a million:a million in the beginning up replaced into the be conscious, and the be conscious replaced into WITH GOD and the be conscious replaced into GOD. JOHN a million:14 And the be conscious became FLESH and DWELT between US, and we beheld HIS GLORY, the appreciate as of the only begotten of the daddy complete of GRACE and certainty. ISAIAH 40 8:sixteen Come on the factor of ME, hear this: I particularly have not spoken in secret from the beginning up; From the time that it replaced into, i replaced into THERE, and now our lord god and HIS SPIRIT have despatched ME. ISAIAH 8:6 - For unto US a baby replaced into BORN, unto us a SON replaced into given; And the government would be upon HIS shoulder. And HIS call wil be called remarkable, COUNSELOR. powerful GOD,

Please tell us where you got this quote from. Include the book in the bible you got it from along with the chapter and verse. Here is an example 1 John 2:22. The reason I ask you for this is because I can not recall or find anywhere in the Bible where Jesus said such a thing. Either you made it up or are severely taking it out of context. Also please include the version of the Bible such as the King James or the International Version. If you can not or will not do this then please erase your question as it will be very obvious that you made either made this quote up or horrifically distorted it and do not want anyone to see what you are referring to there by not allowing a real debate over your question.

I agree that there is a very much deeper meaning..... Father being Lord, meaning I am, Jehovah...... When I introduce my father, dad, to some one, I have had no twinge of disobedience to the Lord..... *shrug*..... but, you have given me something to pray, study and think about...... go in peace........ God bless

The rest of the verses deal with calling one master, and rabbi. Clearly, it does not mean you can't call your daddy by the name father. But rather you are not to refer to regilious people by that title. The comparison is with religious titles.
Roman catholics ignore this command as they address their priests by the name father.
-- King James
Matthew 23:8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. 9. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. 10. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

I'm not familiar with that passage but my guess is that it means don't use "father" as an authoritative title for anyone but God. Thus its ok to call the man responsible for your birth father, but not a minister.

There is no problem in calling your earthly dad father, he is your earthly father. But when you go and call priests father, that is going against what the bible says. There is only one Father and that is your father in heaven.
Matthew 23
1Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,
2Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
3All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
4For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
5But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,
6And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
7And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.
8But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
9And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
10Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
11But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
What does the scripture say?
