I've read about that disease before, it's very sad. :( I don't believe in a divine plan so I don't have any questions about it. I would say that the concept of a "divine plan" is wishful thinking. Things like this happen in nature on their own and no one knows why. It just happens. You can't blame devils/satan for it.... who made satan? Was he/it part of the divine plan? There is no plan, divine or not.

And if this disease WERE part of some kind of divine plan, I would think that the god who created was a sick god.

Disease, death, etc.. was not part of original creation. Bible says it entered the world through sin. When man disobeys God, trouble comes, and so it was.

God created man from the dust of the earth, and engineered the DNA code. The complex systems such as reproduction were designed so that the human, and animal world would continue and adapt to various climates, etc.. Think of trying to create a self-replicating product that could last for a very long time. Perhaps errors came as a result of man disobeying God.

I don't think being a Christian or not is really an intellectual issue since there are very intelligent people who are and who are not. It is more a question of will and the heart. I've been on both sides of the issue.

God's divine plan was messed up when Adam and Eve first sinned. Adam and Eve were just like you and me who also sin so we bring this on ourselves. His divine plan was that all of us would live forever, be without fear, worry, without work, and be extra happy every day. That means no diseases. When man doesn't listen to his Creator, bad things happen, and NO, God doesn't cause these things to happen but he allows it to happen because it is a test. Good things come out of this when the person who is dealing with the issue actually let God comes into their life and gives thanks anyway. The divel doesn't have the power to cause these things to happen but he does have the power to trick and minipulate us to stay away from God/Christ so that we can't find peac, give God praise and go to heaven. The devil is so happy when we do everything other than what God told us to do because that just means that the devil will have more souls to control in hell. But what is sad is that we don't understand that we don't belong to ourselves, our children don't belong to us, this world and everything in it does not belong to us so we can not be mad for what is in it. God wants to see who will thank Him even if things like this happens. If people thanked God anyway and followed Christ, they will not hurt. If you are so worried about people with diseases then think about how God will reward them for haveing faith when they are with Him. We worry about what is wrong or right on earth when we should be worrying about what we should be doing to make sure that we will be in heaven. The time we have on earth is short, while heaven or hell are forever. Just because you don't know what God is doing, doesn't mean that He Himself doesn't know what He is doing. That is why He askes us to just trust in Him. Also be glad that you are not dead. What doesn't kill you, can only make you better if you think that way and do according to that idea. God loves all of us but our life on earth is full of tests not just time to waste. This is still true if you want to believe it or not. The word says, "let them hear if they have ears" and i just told you.

Absolutely terrible! It is very sad that some people think that things happen because of sin or God. It happens and it sucks. Sometimes its enviromental issues, bacteria, stuff the parent is exposed to, or inbreeding. I was born with multible birth defects, but I think I got lucky compared to that poor child.

I went to a library one time and looked through a medical encyclopedia which had example photos of all kinds of things. Syphilis pustules and things . . . yuck!

I saw the harlequin babies. More yuck.

No, Harlequin babies and facial cancerous tumors are manifestations of sin. I didn't read that out of a medical encyclopedia, but it seems true to me, and explains a lot of things.

When sin entered the world, it didn't stop with sex and worshiping false gods, and stuff like that. It manifested on all levels, as I have learned that the spirit of men naturally goes against God. It's our nature to hate God ( that should be memorable for you ) .

So we see a lot of things where sin has manifested. I have scoliosis, and that's not fun because I now have a slipped disk in my back. I am also Bisexual, and that ain't fun either, because everyone thinks that I want to stay that way, when I don't.

So diseases, in m,y opinion, are just manifestations of sin. God warned them not to eat of that tree, and then they did. I think they made the mistake of not listening to God when it really mattered.

Oh, good one. I asked this a while ago. The Catholic Church invented the concept of limbo for children like these - They've recently withdrawn it.

All disease is the work of the devil. Why would you give people a link to a disgusting disease? Is it just your intent top turn peoples stomach? What could you passably hope to accomplish?
