How can some people call themselves Christians when they are so rude and close-minded toward others?

They aren't Christian... they're just ignorant! Some of the responses on my last question were nice... thanks nice people... but some, by Christians off all people, are giving me answers full of spite!
You people are SUPPOSED to be the best, the only one. I'll tell you what some of you are... LIARS AND FAKES. Sorry to you nice Christians out there, but you know... if one apple is rotten the rest are spoiled too.

~AND I BET SINCE THEY PUT SUCH A RUDE RESPONSE THEY'RE GOING TO HAVE TO REPENT FOR THAT TOO.

~Click on my avatar and read some of the responses to my most recent question! ---About religion...

~Thanks

I'm not trying to be spiteful... I don't think one religion is better than any other! And there was more than ONE spiteful response... many to be exact... and more to come. ^.^

You didn't see the spiteful stuff because I gave it a negative response... so it's gone, I think.

I agree with this source you quote. Hate is not something Jesus thought, yet so many Christians use the teaches of the bible to give them permission to hate, do deny rights, to think they are better then others.

Christians are people too... i've talked to fellow "Christians" over the phone in my previous job who say they're Christian but discriminate Asians and Blacks (yes, that's right), but it doesn't mean they serve and obey a different God... they just don't understand other races they way you don't understand other Christians.

i'll tell you something about us Christians that you probably don't know... it's makes some of us feel good when we are called liars and fakes because it's in our Bible that we will be called liars and fakes anyway. to the rest, that was quite offensive and they'll just pity you.

but personally, i think you're someone juvenile who lacks a lot of attention (that had nothing to do with my religious beliefs or what) i don't know if a group of Christians offended you in your past, but the fact that you recognized "us people" being "supposedly the best and only one" tells me that just maybe... at one point, you believed in all that Christian stuff you asked about from other people.

at least you had the guts to call some Christians ignorant, but then you thanked the "nice" Christians and then took it back when you told them off as rotten spoiled apples. @_@ who's rude and closed minded now?

I read through your last religious thread and I don't see anyone who claimed to be a Christian as having been intentionally rude to you. However I did see some who clearly do not know what the Bible says or use small tidbits of verses to pervert what the word of our lord means. Being a Christian does not mean that you are perfect or will no longer be capable of committing a sin. Being a Christian does not mean you will be a perfect person, it means you truly believe in the one true god our lord in heaven and that Jesus Christ his son (the last Adam) died so that we might have a way to have our sins forgiven. This does not mean you can blatantly commit the same sins over and over and over and simply repent and have it forgiven. Also it does not matter if you are the nicest, kindest, most giving person in the world, if you do NOT believe in our father and that Jesus died on the Cross so that we may be saved then the cold hard truth is yes you will go to hell. No man may go to the father without going through the son.

Listen, I was raised christian. I'm talking hardcore "we have to have church at home if you're too sick to go on sundays" type of family. I went through the same thing and i think it was so hard because it was something i had identified with my whole life and when i realized that i was loosing faith i felt like i was loosing a part of my identity. I know its hard but maybe if you want to be religious you need to research your religion or others and find your own meaningful reason to believe in what you choose. Don't let people tell you why you should believe because that may not work for you. Once you've searched for answers you can make your own educated decision and find what makes you happy.

As I traveled the world, I found out that people are people wherever you go. Some are honest, some are liars, some are rude, some are kind. Some are angry, some are sad, some are happy, some are insane.

What would anyone expect but for people to be the same no matter where you went?

All you can do is decide to be whatever you are. If you think it's better to be another way, then why not be that better person?

I am so sorry people can be quite vicious about these things. I am Buddhist, God as I understand Him has unconditional love and light for us because He resides within each of us, and us within Him even now. The God I worship has no stranger, only children. I must ask you to take a deep breath and forgive those who you've understood to be cruel and spiteful, and hope that some words, some where, will warm their hearts and bring them home.

the negative ones are STILL there. you have to delete a response for it to be gone.

InMyO, there was only one spiteful answer and one bad answer, the second one. The rest were well-meaning. Some know the Bible and gave a true answer.

I just read through the answers to your previous question, and I only saw one that struck me as spiteful.

I thin k you are ignorant. Mind you I cannot really say that because I do not know you. So I will say: ignore all the bad answers that you get. Keep all the answer you love in your heart.
