Christians, do you realise that we need to continue to condescend to the atheists and evolutionists to continue the use of the names of the seven-day week, as Monday, Tuesday..... etc despite being named after pagan gods?

If we had used Biblical terms, like first day of the week, third day of the week . . .they would all be too confused in their simplicity? Anyway, as long as they continue to submit to the use of our Creator's planned seven-day week, are we Christians going to complain???

I'm a Christian, and I'm not sure what you're driving at. I'm not in the business of condescending to atheists, and it doesn't bother me one little bit that the days of the week have Pagan names. I have other things to worry about than attempting to bully everyone around me into adopting my beliefs, or being bothered by the fact that certain customs, names, and events have been borrowed from other religions and cultures.

The seven day week came about because ancient Jews followed a 28 day month determined by the moon. And to divide up the month they either had to have four seven day weeks or seven four day weeks.

"we Christians". I am Christian, and am almost offended that another "Christian" would claim that we're all the same because we're not. We each believe in the Bible and it's teachings.

However, not every "Christian" is going to "complain" that we call Sunday, "Sunday" instead of the first day of the week (or the Day of Rest". I can't imagine that God would be offended at the fact that we don't call it the "Day of Rest" in every day life. People wouldn't understand who don't "believe".

Sounds to me like stirring up strife. Maybe you should pray about it.
