i am so completely against being gay. it is a sin. and against the laws of nature. and being gay is a choice so why do you make it? it is going against what god has created.

This girl, just out of High School, had her sentence for being with a man not her relative increased to 200 lashes and 6 months in jail after being gang raped by seven men due to media coverage.

She was raped by Muslim men.
She was convicted by a Muslim judge, in a Muslim country according to Muslim law by the guardians of Islam's holiest shrine.

My homework assignment is to interview a "representative" of the Catholic Church. This representative can be a priest, nun, catholic school teacher...even a member. I have 10 questions to ask that correspond to my hw assignment. I'm having problems finding people who have time to answer the questions. Can anyone here help me out or recommend someone who can help me? Thanks so much!! :)

In Buddhism, for example, it is taught that one should not believe something because someone tells you it's true or to believe it, or that it make logical sense, that you must experience it and realize it is true and valid on your own merit and experience (the idea of three type of wisdom in the Right Wisdom part of the Eightfold Noble Path.)

Anyways, for those of any faith:

Can you truly follow a religion or beliefs system if you don't challenge the ideas and ask many questions and experience it's truth or lack-of for yourself?

This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard, especially when it comes to homosexuality.

It is similar to saying, "I love you but I hate your family, your house, your car, your clothes, your pets, the way you look, the way you smell, the way you click your teeth when you eat, etc.... but I love YOU so much."

I hate to quote a Black Eyed Peas song, but where is the love in that? It may be said with good intentions but it is the biggest load of crap ever. It is said as a way for some Christians to hide and justify their judgmental behavior at the same time.

I need to ask your forgiveness. I admit I have sinned by not treating you with love. I was so caught up in proving I was right that I forgot all about being righteous. Please forgive me.

I may occasionaly point out doctrinal differences, but I will endeavor not to be rude or proud. If I get out of line remind me of this commitment which I am making to you- but please be gentle as I am human too.

I am concerned for your souls- which is why I have become overzealous and way too overbearing and downright disrespectful. I sin, like we all do and I too find the need to repent far more often than I would like to admit to.

Again, I humbly seek your forgiveness. I would like to be able to have rational diologue from time to time- if you will trust me.

I want to know why every time I over come pain and grief, I end up being all sad over again*for no reason, or something really small & insignificant*, It takes me a while to be okay again, and something small gets me to be sad for a long time.
Am I depressed or too sensitive? Could I be a Empath, sensing peoples energies, that is why I am so sensitive?...

Hi. My world civilization teacher marked this answer wrong on my test and I would like to prove him wrong. He says that the "12 followers of Jesus Christ were called APOSTLES" but growing up in church and being a very strong Christian, I was always taught it was the 12 DISCIPLES. Please let me know if I am correct or if the teacher is correct.
*If you are too immature to answer this question or are going to put something stupid or something that is not relevant to the point, then PLEASE do not answer.

So I'm at work ... minding my own business and a guy walks in (probably somewhere between the ages of 20 and 30). He asks if we have a pay phone, and I told him that we did not but there are two pay phones at the gas stations up the street (which is no more than like 100 yards away). He then asks if he could use our phone, and I politely told him no that it was not a public phone and was against policy to allow anyone but a guest to use the phone. He then starts to walk away and says "Fat b*tch." And as he walked out the door, he turned around and said "You won't let me use the phone cause you're a f*cking c*nt." .... What was the point of that? I expect name calling from children in junior high. Are people really that stupid?

I am very confused about my religion right now, I used to be a Christian, but that's when I was 0-10 and I went to church with my parents and so on. But now that I'm older I don't go to church and I am questioning my religion -if I even have one. And I was thinking, why would God HATE homosexuals? Who started this? Or does it say it in the bible? I am not homosexual but I am friends with homosexual people.

Let me start by saying that I am always a generous tipper, giving at the very minimum 15% for the poorest service I can think of but typically 20-25% for good service. I tip waiters, bartenders, delivery people, etc. I worked in the food and service industry for probably 6-8 years on and off as a waitress and bartender. I rarely got tipped on take out orders. If I did, it was usually from a regular customer or on an order that especially large.

Its been about 4 years since I've worked in this industry so I'm looking for guidance. I can't help feeling, lately, as if more and more places EXPECT you to tip on take orders. No one has come out and said anything.. its more of a feeling I get, or a look from them when I slide the receipt back to them. What do you think?? Do you tip on take out and, if so, how much??? Also... am I crazy or has it become a more recent development??

To me as a gay man, faith is like underwear, we all were it in some form or another but it's worn underneath our clothing, not to be seen except for those with whom we are intimate.

And conversely, are you more inclined to aside yourself with nonbelievers if you are of that inclination?

Does religion play any part of whom you befriend or predjudice in any way or do you take it person by person regardless of their faith.?

Or does faith not play a factor at all, it's all in the way they present it, or choose not to present it to you?
